Among those of us who were lucky enough to get Peter to sign our frunk (inside) , has anyone attempted to protect it with a clear coat spray? If so, what did you use? I'm assuming anything lacquer based would be a BAD idea.

The aero piece is a combination of plastic and rubber. Others on the forum can speak with more authority as to its durability when hit. At any rate it falls within the plane that runs between tire contact point and the bottom of the car's nose.

You didn’t mention if the #2 wire is copper or aluminum. Depending on how detail oriented you are, you might want to get clarification. Copper is a better conductor.
