    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

Only issue(s) I've ever had was a broken button retainer on the headliner upon delivery (Dec '22) which was fixed in 5 minutes. In June/July when it was stinking hot in Vegas, I got front camera alarm/fault. CS told me to do a reset (Hold Air emblem on dash) and problem solved. These have...

    Extreme Heat's Effect on Range

That's been my experience as well. Maybe it's the difference in temperature between the highway (light gray) vs. city streets (black)?

    Extreme Heat's Effect on Range

Yes, my range drops to about 50% during the height of summer (July/August here in Vegas). The cooling fans sound like jet engines, and they are loud! That's for driving between 3-5pm, usually the hottest time(s) of the day. I also avoid charging during these hours in the summer. Fans go wild...

    Is this old news? Recall

Article points to vehicles manufactured before December, 2022. I didn't realize there were that many vehicles delivered by then.

    ICE vs. BEV

I think it's a combination of 5 factors: First, the initial cost (price) of an EV is too high for a good part of the population. You can buy an ICE vehicle for far less money, and there are many more choices. Second, for most of us Lucid Air owners, the cost of installation of EVSE is not a...

    Lucid is Maturing

I think a driving experience in Germany or the Autostrada in Italy should be required for a U.S. license lol! One drive on the Autostrada changed my highway driving habit permanently. Now, I rarely get into the #1 lane except to pass a slower vehicle. In Italy, the car in the #1 lane is...

Insurer would not cover a Lucid

My Progressive auto policy was bundled with a home policy underwritten by National General. BION, NG is owned by Allstate. Total incest. Hey, a deal's a deal!

Insurer would not cover a Lucid

I was with Hartford for a long time. When I called them to add the Lucid to my policy, they said they would not cover it. I also thought I heard from the agent that they don't cover Tesla either. Long story short, I got a policy with Progressive. Then I cancelled my home insurance with...

    My Road Trip Experiences

Just finished a drive from San Diego back to Las Vegas. Did a charge at Barstow on the way back. Range said I had 91 miles left at my destination but routed me to the Baker EA station anyway. I obediently followed and did a 10-minute "splash". Left Baker with 71 miles left at destination...

    Trip around CA

I was charging at a station in the San Diego area off Penasquitos Drive. A technician was working on one of the units and had this to share with me. I asked how would I know if the 350kW chargers were the old generation or the new? He said to check ALL the charger at the location online. If...

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

Appreciate the nod, and also appreciate the info on Mp3tag. I use it but didn't know I could sequence with it, too. Will do some testing. I've learned so much on this forum and I know that I appreciate the Lucid Touring more because of all the information that I've found here.

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

You can "merge" the 4 movements into 1 file so they will play in the proper sequence. I saved Phantom of the Opera (sounds great in the Lucid BTW), the entire 2 CDs in sequence, so now it plays the entire volume as 1 song.

Munro on 14-50 outlets for EV charging, and other worries

Munro on 14-50 outlets for EV charging, and other worries

If one is not comfortable with doing it yourself, definitely hire an electrician. Be aware that it takes a knowledgeable homeowner about 15 minutes to accomplish this, an electrician most likely even less time, so don't get gouged by a ridiculously high estimate. Look for a torque wrench or...

Munro on 14-50 outlets for EV charging, and other worries

Doesn’t make sense to cheap out on a $50 receptacle when we’ve spent $100K on a car. The math doesn’t add up. And replacing the receptacle is easy since the hard parts (breaker and wiring) are already done. Just need a new receptacle, cover plate and a 1/4” torque wrench. Remember to switch...

    Hills and Bumps!!!

I scraped the bottom of the Lucid twice, and then I bought a set of rubber ramps from Vevor. I bought a 2-piece, then added a center piece to cover my entire driveway. Bridjit also makes what look like identical rubber ramps for about 50% more, because they are made in the U.S. The pieces are...
