For me the test drive was just sick: crazy speed, supremely confident handling, and impressive 'post luxury' design. It's certainly closer to the BMW philosophy than to Mercedes, but without the GRILL. I think you're right price wise, and I'm thinking that when the Pure arrives it will be hard...

I considered the BMW I4, but it’s not a new EV platform just an ICE platform modified for EV. Nice car and dealer said delivery in about five months. But gets expensive to option it up and smaller inside than the Air. Just didn’t feel different enough for me to make the plunge.

2022 Ioniq 5, standard on Limited - $55-60K

Yes, ordering Ioniq 5 soon and will use that as transition EV until Gravity.

Same idea, considering the Ioniq5 as a transition EV given the delay with the Touring while waiting for the Gravity. EV6 is a close cousin of the Ioniq5, and do like the interior of the EV6 better. How is your EV6?

Yes, and it seems from my research the Ioniq5 is near luxury compared to even more expensive rivals and has features that are surprising (e.g., Level 2 autonomy, heated/ventiliated front seats, large back seat, fast charging, two way charge port, adaptive cruise control, etc).

Same, expecting 12-18 month delay for the Touring I reserved two months ago, and probably at least 24 months for the Gravity which I'm really looking forward to. So, might make better sense for the Ioniq5, which might deliver in about 3-4 months, as my transition EV until the Gravity delivers.

Good idea, I put a reservation on a Rivian R1S yesterday and will be looking at an Ioniq5 limited this week. Especially if the news after the earnings call next month is not good, then it may be better to plan ahead for significant delays.

After watching this review, very tempted to change my 19" wheel order on the Touring to 20", as I'm in Florida and don't need all season tires. Although will lose some range, better handling and control expected from what the reviewer anticipates. Comfort maybe less, but not that much?

I don't think much, as the Touring is already Q3 '22, and I'm pretty far down the list, so I'm probably looking at Q1 '24 for delivery.

Three storage sheds already full, and with two teens driving its a full house. Will probably PPF and ceramic coat for the time being.
