    Cosmos incoming ……

Nice - who sees it though? Reminded me of the 1990s Infiniti launch commercials.

    HV battery replacement... Again

I imagine it would cost $25k or so out of pocket. I don’t think it adds a penny to the value though - a buyer would expect that the battery (literally the most important part of an EV) would be totally functional, and the fact that you had to get yours replaced and there isn’t any warranty...

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

No way they triple their 2025 total sales in one year of Cosmos. If they do, the service delays of today will be looked back on fondly. Plus, the Rivian R2 has a likely 2 year head start and they will probably have the R3 out before Cosmos too.

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

Agree with everything you just said, but there is zero chance they sell 250k Cosmos. Your service experience isn’t unique unfortunately and will be the eventual downfall of the company. On no planet is 6 weeks for diagnosis of an obvious issue acceptable - that should be seen and fixed...

Buyer Beware: $500 Paid for Lucid Gravity Wheels—Nothing Received

I use PayPal but never the friends and family option - always as goods or services. Way too many scammers and dishonest sellers so you have to protect yourself. Sad commentary on our culture.

    Ev spotting

Where are you located? I see a gazillion EVs of all kinds every day, although rarely a Lucid (maybe one a month). Mostly Teslas for sure, but plenty of Ioniqs, Mach E, Audi, Taycan, Cadillac, Benz, etc. I live in the 6th most populous metro area in the country by the way.

Car and Driver rates Lucid No. 1 in “Who makes the best cars”

For those of us who have been around long enough, we can remember when Car & Driver was accused of always favoring BMW in every comparison, because BMW spent the most on advertising with them. This was a constant complaint in the “letters to the editor” in every edition. C&D even addressed...

Buyer Beware: $500 Paid for Lucid Gravity Wheels—Nothing Received

This is the most common scam on all forums - you publicly post interest in an item, and a scammer immediately contacts you as the seller from a different number and directs you how to pay and what email to use. It has nothing to do with the actual seller at all. Also, posting wanted ads...

Saw My First R2 In Miami Today

Yeah - you guess. That’s my point - you have no idea. You think 100-0% is 150 miles in the R2? Really?

Saw My First R2 In Miami Today

So the R2 would stop twice on the trip for what - to add 3 miles each time? You still aren’t getting that much more range than the R2 that you can go straight through and it would have to stop twice to charge - the efficiency numbers aren’t that different.

Saw My First R2 In Miami Today

No way your Lucid gets over 2x the range of an R2.

Car and Driver rates Lucid No. 1 in “Who makes the best cars”

Exactly - it is named Car & Driver, not Car & Owner.

Car and Driver rates Lucid No. 1 in “Who makes the best cars”

Car & Driver has always been very favorable to Lucid. This ranking is a bit skewed though because it is based on rankings across the entire model lineup, and the other makers obviously have a lot more models than Lucid. Not taking anything away from Lucid because they give both the Air and...

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

Adding just a few per service center will add to the long queues and piss people off. The likelihood that 99-100% of Cosmos won’t need the same level of fixing that Air and Gravity did is not realistic at all.

Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

Or the more likely scenario to help with the atrocious service backlog is that fewer and fewer people buy Lucids, which requires less QC visits to the service center to fix issues since there will be fewer new cars sold. This is the likely path until the PIF decides to bail altogether. Anyone...

    How deep is the water?

It doesn’t take much to float a car anyway - why risk it? Regardless if it is EV or not - plenty of people find this out the hard way.

Electrify America-related damage to Mercedes EQS ports

Seems like, outside of the reliability of Tesla chargers, that Ionna is the one that is really impressing people.

3 days out of warranty so service is my $?

Who said anything about waiting until it is out of warranty? Lucid doesn’t sell any extended warranty, even while it is under the original one. All the other brands do.

3 days out of warranty so service is my $?

You aren’t aware of other manufacturers who sell extended warranties? Seriously? Almost all of them do. Even Tesla does.
