Hmmm...not sure you get my point in the US tax system. Assuming you're going to spend that money on the car anyway, claiming it's for business use allows you to deduct it off your tax bill ...otherwise you have to pay that money in income taxes and spend the money on the car, a double expense...

20yrs ago I had a 5sp stick 4.0L straight six OG Jeep Cherokee and just upgraded to high end shocks and bought really good A/T tires. There wasn't a road in NorCal, SoCal, Baja, or B.C.S. that that car wouldn't handle...respiratory viruses be damned!!

Not really. Here in the US and especially in Calif, you either find ways to spend money on your business or ship it off to Uncle Sam in taxes...and look what they do with it! Self employed is the way to go here!!

I experienced the same thing but the other way around: I have a GGT with the 20/21's (wanted better tire options for severe snow rated tires come winter for ski trips, better range, and less chance of pot hole blow outs). But now that my vehicle is in the service center I'm driving a loaner...

Short term lease here...couldn't purchase a LT so I ended up taking advantage of multiple incentives on an "inventory" vehicle and did an 18mo lease to try out Gravity and see where things will be w/ MY2028. Kind of glad I didn't throw down $100K as the company's future still seems vague.

I have had to go into Settings->Connectivity->Devices and click the CarPlay icon by my iPhone to get it to come up as well...other times it comes on perfectly when I enter the car. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it decides not to come up. I'm not techy enough to explain it...
