How many individuals here are leasing Gravity compared to those who have purchased them?

Short term lease here...couldn't purchase a LT so I ended up taking advantage of multiple incentives on an "inventory" vehicle and did an 18mo lease to try out Gravity and see where things will be w/ MY2028. Kind of glad I didn't throw down $100K as the company's future still seems vague.

I'm seeing more leases on the poll than purchases. I wonder if everyone who got a dream edition leased it instead of buying it.

Wait, you own the very first production GT, serial number 1?
Wow how’s it been as an owner?

Leasing wasn't an option in the state I live in, so we went ahead and bought it. Whoever didn't want me to be able to have one here.... phhhht! Still loving this thing.

Purchased, not leased. Several reasons.

I leased my Dream Edition when Lunar Titanium became unavailable. For all the reasons often stated - company's future and hoping to replace it with the 1.1 version - hoping for things like more refined seat motors, updated processor/sensor suite at mid-cycle refresh, closer panel gaps, more color choices, etc.

As the car has been mostly trouble free and currently PHENOMENALLY GREAT, I will consider buying out the lease at the end if the mid-cycle refresh hasn't happened by lease end. Wishing I had PPF'd at least the hood, as it is already showing the effect of ever so small debris chips from Michigan roadways....

Cruising Woodward yesterday (Woodward Dream Cruise has unofficially started 😍) with 4 people in the car - Dodge Challenger Hellcat (stock) wanted to play - we both hit the go pedal at about 25 and I was 2 car lengths ahead of him by the time his supercharger had spooled up. We both let up at about 70 - and about 7 car lengths.

Geez, I love this car!

Dream Ahead!

I've lost too much money on EV depreciation on my last 3 Teslas, this time around I decided to lease. I truly am enjoying the ville so I might buy it at the end of the lease or just get another one.

Bought mine. Lease rates were just ridiculous in the month I wanted to get one. While financing was much better. So fingers crossed everything is cool over the next five years...

Love it! Hellcat is one of my previous cars and last ICE vehicle I owned. I loved that car but it was absolutely no match for an EV on the street.

I lease because EV technology frequently changes.

exactly my sentiment- I figure if I going to swap out every 3 years anyway I might as well pay on the use and not the entire car and hedge my bets against the depreciation

Lease. Who would want to buy from a company that might not be anymore in 3 yrs?
Why get a car at all, neither of us might be here in 3 years

I will use it for the time left to me up to three years.

Odds are I will still be around in three years. Lucid won‘t as they will either get acquired or go bust. No in between. And the likelihood of a strategic buying them is low. And PE won‘t touch it with asbestos gloves.

It's hardly to unreasonable to make purchasing decisions based on risks of the product you're considering being unsupported within its lifetime.

Trying to conflate that with a fatalistic/nihilistic view that we shouldn't bother buying anything cuz we might die before the product does is just absurd.

I think you were misunderstanding me. I am planning to live for a few more years than 3. And I am all but fatalistic regarding life. But Lucid won‘t survive stand-alone, unfortunately.

Maybe Stellantis or Ford will buy them. Their respective BEV pursuits are in shambles, and Lucid has an incredible BEV platform that would jump start either one. Think about it... Lincoln Gravity or Chrysler Gravity has a certain ring to it... Or maybe a Maserati Gravity??? Or maybe Tata Motors, since they are repositioning Jaguar in the Ultra Luxury category with all-Electric. The Jaguar Gravity! I kinda like that.

Or maybe they just stay Lucid and we have at least one thread free of pointless doom and gloom commenting.
