First post here. Delivery date August 15. Aurora GT, with every option but the trailer hitch. I live in Seattle, so the delivery location is a few minutes drive away. As is the service center. Separately, my local contact at the Studio here in Seattle just told me that as of August 13, Lucid will finally be set up to allow for direct sales to customers, so I will be his first direct sale. He also said, for Washington residents, that loan financing through Lucid will be available as well, finally. Although I can't find anything that says this, he insisted that for Washington State, for some reason, you could lease or you could pay in cash--no longer term loans. That supposedly ends on the 13th as well. Lucid's August deals include sub-market loan terms, too, so I won't have to use the third-party bank financing which I had set up.
Anyway, I'm relieved to see posts in this thread generally saying that now is finally the time to feel comfortable buying this car. 6 months ago, when we were shopping, the internet was telling me otherwise. So we bought a Range Rover Sport SV. Stupid money, although when it worked it was a true pleasure to drive. I will miss the sound of full throttle pulls with open exhaust valves for sure, and the suspension was very trick--when it worked. But the car developed a suspension fault that the dealer could not fix, so we made a Lemon Law claim and Land Rover capitulated. Getting every cent back....and now it's time to get the car I wanted from the beginning. Intrigued by the dynamics of this car, joining the EV world, etc.
On the issue of delivery, my sales guy says that when you pick up the car, a Lucid employee gives you an orientation focused on the tech, like connecting phones, setting profiles, etc. Is this true? Any suggestions about what I should cover with this employee? My salesman says that he will make sure that 3.6.3 is loaded during the PDI process as well. I'm not entirely sure he can control that, but I guess I will find out...
