Brake System Fault, Automatic Vehicle Hold Fault

Did you try a hard reset and a sleep session, not you, the car:-)
X microphone brake pedal for about 10-20 seconds
Every thing will do black and it’ll come back in a couple of minutes
Sleep would be walking away for 15-20 minutes
These actions should force the car to reboot, reset, and clear any queues
If that doesn’t work then you most likely have a real problem, but at any rate open a ticket with lucid if nothing else but to document the situation in case it turns out to be seriously expensive
Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I did try to reset the AT a few times, and today I just noticed that there are no more warning messages. However, the regen-break does not work properly. I really appreciate your advice and am going to contact the customer care on Tuesday.

What do you mean the regen doesn’t work properly?

It has 3 settings
None, some, and a lot, those are tech terms
They apply across all drive settings, mostly
There are valid conditions under which regen is reduced, usually (meaning I’ve always noticed it) there is a notification on the left side drivers screen
When its reduced you need to use the brakes.

The main times I've seen regen being shut off or reduced is when the battery is at 97+%. I've not seen regen reduced at any other time. YMMV

Temperatures below 45F will cause loss of regen after driving 10 - 15 minutes down a long downgrade. This will happen even with battery at 80%.

I've not driven in 45F or below temps (Iive in a part of California where that doesn't happen much except late at night). Do you know the reason the regen would cease to function at low temperatures?

Battery too cold to accept current? Thats my guess.
Works fine at the top of the hill. Halfway down I start losing regen. The last couple hundred feet of decent (last 2 miles) I have none. Heavy brake use at each switchback. I use more brake in this car coming down that hill than any of my previous cars. I only charge to 80% before heading home. Even at 100% I won't make it home in the winter so why go to 100%.

This is supported by a note in the 2026/2027 Owners Manual (under Brakes): "The dynamic power gauge surrounding the speedometer will indicate when regenerative braking is limited, either due to battery temperature or a high state of charge."

I don't even own the car yet, and I read the entire manual the day after I placed my order. (Let me know if you're aware of any treatment for this sickness.)

The Leaf is a great little car, but you're going to love the Lucid, a completely different animal.

I was smitten after my first test drive. The second test drive two weeks later confirmed that I was all in.

No comparison to any other vehicle that I have driven or ridden in. The only comparison the the LEAF is the quietness and efficiency.

I was shocked that my 2021 Air GT was noticeably more efficient than my 2011 Leaf, while having about three times the interior room and comfort.

The first winter I had the car it rarely happened. One of the updates in 2025 increased the occurrence of the loss of regen. Before that it only occurred when temperatures hit single digits.
