Fulllllllly agree lol It's funny, having the loaner where my only real option is the Fob is retraining my brain to always have it with me.

While it does work sometimes, this is not the magic bullet you think it is. I have countless times I have pushed the door handle and nada. Sometimes it goes in, then pops back to normal flush and nada. When it works, yep super quick.

“Haven’t had a major problems. Sure it’s been in service for six months and it kicked my dog, but I had a loaner car and my dog should have moved”

Yeah this whole thread is a meme for YMMV, but some people haven't tried it. In your experience, its inconsistent but it works "super quick" sometimes.If it works, great. If not, what have you lost?

I don't think any reasonable owner expects every feature to be 100% flawless, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect keyless entry to be 100% flawless (especially when there is no option for "keyful" entry). It's a mature feature in the industry and has worked 100% reliably in cars for the past ~20 years. That's the reason I, and I suspect many others, fixate on this particular issue with any sort of stubbornness.
