My wiper blades chattered for the first few days until I washed my Gravity - blades and windshield at the same time. No problems since.I did that. I cleaned them with alcohol, I cleaned them with soap and water. I had them replaced once already and the new ones are just as bad, even after cleaning.
They skip and chatter, they leave a huge part of the windshield unwiped and are just bad. It's one of the most maddening things about the Gravity, wipers are a pretty well known commodity at this point and yet Lucid had to try to reinvent the wheel with their own ridiculous super custom blade.
For those having problems, are you going through automatic car washes with RainX or some other polymer wax? I did this once with an older car a long time back and my wipers started to chatter. The blades didn’t get along with whatever was deposited onto the windshield. I avoid automatic car washes - brushless or otherwise.
Over three years ago, I swapped to silicon blade inserts and they are fantastic. I used to replace normal blades every year, as they would get stiff and stop “flipping,” which would be the start of streaking. The silicon blades worked great for at least two seasons. I changed blades on one car after 2 years and on my second car after 3 years.
