Weird bug: My car unlocks/starts without any app, fob, or card

Has anyone else had this bug? I literally don’t need anything to unlock and start my car. I can just push on the handles—no keys, app, card present—and the car unlocks/starts or locks.

This is, uhhh, obviously not great for security. Has this happened to anyone else? How was it fixed?
 
That's crazy. Just out of curiosity, can you drive it down the street a block or two without having your phone with you? Does it then tell you "no key detected" or something like that?

Could there be another fob in or near the car? Or maybe your fob isn't as far enough away as you think?

Otherwise, call customer support and maybe they can see something in the vehicles logs.
 
If there's a fob in the car, he should be able to drive it away from the house without getting the no key detected warning. If it's just that his phone and/or fob are close, as he drives away, it should trigger the warning.
 
I had it happen once when the key fob was near (3 feet) but outside, the car. I was very surprised when I got to the destination and realized I had no fob (luckily the mobile app works fine for starting the car). I don't recall it warning me about there being no key fob detected like it usually does when the car is running and no fob is detected, but it's possible I didn't notice the alert, since they seem to auto dismiss pretty quickly.
 
I'm waiting for my second call back as we speak, so hopefully this will be fixed soon. But to answer other questions: I got the car last Sunday and it actually didn't come with fobs--only the card. I've looked everywhere in the car for a hidden fob—under seats, in trunks, frunks, etc—but nothing thus far. The only possibility is that the center console storage has a hole in it. I've tried fumbling around to see if the fob is in there with my finger, but so far I haven't been able to find anything.

Will update thread after Lucid calls back.
 
I think the physical fob(s) must be underneath that center console with the hole. Tech is supposed to come out.
 
How did it not come with a key fob? Standard is two. I'm guessing you bought it used? If not, sales owes you an apology. 😂
 
So I'm 99% sure you do have a keyfob somewhere in the car. Maybe even two! The problem will eventually go away when the key fob battery dies and you can only access with the key card. Have you been able to set up a phone as a mobile key? It sounds like you are using the mobile app so that would be the next step besides locating the fobs 😂
 
Yep, everything is set up. The tech should come out and hopefully they'll be able to find them in the center storage console hole (if they're there). But if they're not...weird issue!

Please post a picture of the center storage console hole.
 
If this is actually a software bug I'd be very surprised. Hopefully they don't need to take anything apart to get at this hole you're talking about.
