New 2025 Lucid Air Won't Charge on Chargepoint home charger?

Every once in a while, I have this happen, and there is no rhyme or reason. I flip the breaker for a minute, and it's back to normal.
 
New AT owner. Faced this issue today (3rd day of ownership). Thanks to this thread, resolved issue in less than an hour.
 
We installed a hard wired ChargePoint in our garage last September that very often flipped the breaker. I complained enough that ChargePoint (after blaming Lucid) exchanged our hard wired unit for a plug in unit. I still have the frequent breaker problem but no longer have to go from our garage to our basement to activate a breaker. We just unplug the charger & plug it back in. Incidentally we only use the car's charging program. The ChargePoint software did not work when first installed & so we just ignore it.
 
Not sure if I posted my resolution to my chargepoint issue, so here it is. My chargepoint was three years old. I called chargepoint and they pushed new firmware to it and it now works flawlessly with my lucid. (It's hardwired fwiw).

Great! What firmware version does it have now?
 
I’ve had an issue with my old Clipper Creek that would do this behavior. It would regularly start charging and then error out afterwards. Sometimes in an hour or two, other times within minutes.

I finally got rid of it and had the Lucid charger installed and it hasn’t happened since.
 
my chargepoint home flex updated to v5.5.4.14 on March 30 (automatically). Since then, I've had two red error lights on my charger which required me to flip the breaker to clear. anyone else having issues with this current version? I'll call chargepoint but thought I'd ask around before doing that.

I have had this problem numerous times. The quickest solution is remove the charger plug from the car, switch off the circuit breaker of the line for ChargePoint. Wait for 30 seconds and then swith it back on. Then start charging the car. This has worked for me every times and I have done this at least over 5 times in the last 6 months.

I have a Chargepoint Charger and I regularly charge my Air GT without a problem. Check your settings on your Chargepoint and make sure that the timer for timed charging is off.
This is something I experienced once. When turned off, everything worked. Good luck,

I'm on 5.5.4.14 (updated on March 27), and I've had no troubles, but I am charging an Audi not a Lucid.
 
I got this working on an older ChargePoint CPH25, using the @borski Lucid integration to Home Assistant.

I have this problem as well. I have an 8 year-old ChargePoint CPH25 running version 5.5.4.22 that successfully charges my Fiat 500e and Polestar 2 on a schedule. I picked up my new (to me) 2025 Lucid Air Touring a few days ago, and found it failed to charge on schedule. After reading this thread, I did a whole bunch of testing.

If the Lucid Air is asleep and charging begins, it fails.
If the Lucid Air is awake and charging beings, it works.

I don't know if other brands of chargers send a Wake Up signal to the car before scheduled charging begins. I also don't know if there is such a thing as a Wake Up signal. Or if the ChargePoint just too impatient to wait long enough for the car to wake up and start taking a charge?

I called ChargePoint asking if there is anything in their knowledge base about Lucid Air and scheduled charging, specifically any firmware updates that could help. The tech insisted on walking me through all kinds of troubleshooting steps, like turning off the breaker for 2 minutes, disabling scheduled charging in the app, humming Live Wire by AC/DC into the charge port, etc. etc. etc. I stopped him when he wanted me to uninstall the app. He finally looked in his system and said there's no fix.

HERE'S WHAT WORKS: I'm running Home Assistant with the @borski Lucid integration. It's pretty awesome (so much better than what's available for Polestar... thanks, man!). I keep the 11:00 p.m. schedule in ChargePoint. At 10:58 p.m. I use Home Assistant to check if the Lucid's plugged in, and if it is, send a lucid_air_wake_up_vehicle command. Car wakes up, scheduled charging kicks in, and I have enough juice to make it to work in the morning.

FWIW, my chargepoint is on 5.5.4.22 and charges my Air pretty reliably. I use only the car schedule and the charger is no longer set to any schedule (scheduling on both or only in chargepoint didn't work). I don't do anything with home assistant. about 1x/month I do get a charger error after charging where the chargepoint red light goes on and I have to flip the breaker off, wait, then on. other than that, it's pretty stable / solid. it's about 5 years old (I did use it for my polestar 2 as well prior to the lucid).

The Air just isn't compatible with external charge scheduling from any AC charging source, unless you help it with Home Assistant.
Gravity has different charging system hardware and does charge properly with externally timed power.

Isn't that HA integration great? I use it every day.
 
The Home Assistant integration IS great.

I have my Google calendar integrated with HA. When I have calendar items like workouts or dentist appointments, I have an automation start the car's climate control 10 minutes before the end of the session. Here in Arizona, hopping in a pre-cooled car without having fiddle with my phone is awesome.

I wonder if that's a hardware limitation, or something that could be remedied in a future OTA update.
 
Jumping in late here to add another data point, but I have relocated my ChargePoint. I am on 5.5.4.22 and have no problems. I don't schedule charging, so I have no idea if that is working as designed.

I believe it is a hardware limitation. It's been there for nearly five years.
