Considering Paint protection film (PPF)

For any Lucid owners in SF, I can recommend California Detailing on Folsom. They did a seamless full frontal PPF (paint protection film) of highest quality on my Air Pure. I have seen different vehicles in their shop with both gloss and matte finish. Personally, I think the matte finish looks most awesome, but it does require that you wrap the entire vehicle - for those with deep pockets. Ceramic is also available in single or multiple layers on top of your PPF. I have brought multiple vehicles to them over the years and have not been disappointed.

Its not real ceramic coating on the film, its just ceramic particles.
If you were taking carwashes, then yeah dont get ceramic. But I would NOT take a car above 50k in a car wash.
My AGT is just a car that's my daily driver and it looks great after going through the car wash, which in the winter can be two or three times a week.

Obviously you like Xpel and that’s great. On the cars you’ve had done does it really look almost brand new, yesrs afterwards?
Is it really as easy as they say to clean? Do you see dings or marks from pebbles hitting it after driving on road trips ?

Do you ever see a need to go back in to have them repair something like getting dinging in a parking lot; someone hitting your door?

I’m considering getting about the same work done as yours. What’s this costing you may I ask?

Sorry for all the questions.
ppf shop and installers in Phoenix
Both XPEL and KAVACA are high-quality PPF brands. XPEL is more established with great clarity and self-healing, while KAVACA offers durable films with ceramic coating options. Either is a good choice—just make sure to pick an experienced installer.

paint protection film
PPF is a great way to protect your AGT’s paint. XPEL is widely trusted for durability and self-healing, while Kavaca offers ceramic-infused options for extra protection and easier cleaning. Both are high quality; choose based on whether you prioritize proven longevity (XPEL) or added ceramic benefits (Kavaca).

Xpel's top-of-the-line film, Ultimate Fusion, also is infused with ceramic. We've had it on our Air for a couple of years and have been going through automatic carwashes almost weekly during that time. The car still looks brand new coming out of the wash. We just put in on our Gravity Dream, too.
