What would you change?

What happens if you slide 2nd row all the way back when closed?

It does exist with third row as third row just stores in sub-frunk. Even if someone comes out with a way to make that flat, it will likely have to be removable, which would be quite annoying as I am not sure it could be stored in the car without a hinge…
It won’t go back any farther than the photos.

I’d be fine with removable even if annoying. This truly makes the trunk unusable for things like groceries unless you have bins in the trunk to put stuff in. I went to costco and got a box of paper (I think it is 10 reams) the other day. The box fell into that gap…not easy to get out. Fruit rolling there could potentially roll under the seats and rot in the car. I love my gravity but truly hate this about it. I am going to have to come up with something in order to make use of my trunk.

Interesting that they “missed” this given so much focus on space design. And the animation on their site shows that part of the floor adjusting “up” to close the gap…so it would seem they’re aware…

Use the sub trunk or the frunk

I did as much as I could but the Costco trip wouldn’t fit in either of those. 😢
I did order the frunk bins so that should help on smaller shopping. I just hope they come up with something as this sucks (I don’t mind buying something but I don’t want something that looks like a cheap afterthought). 😓

The giant gap behind the 2nd row seats if you didn’t do a third row (may also exist with three rows but I don’t have one to check).
The watermelon holder!

It's a surprisingly large and odd space. I assume it exists because the interior space was available and the seats can't go back any further, but I agree it's not especially usable currently.

Don’t most “luxury” cars have the power lumbar also adjust up or down? I feel like the demo Gravity in our local studio did it. My R1S has this. Now, maybe at 6’2”, it won’t go high enough for you….
The lumbar definitely goes up and down. And it gets high enough for me at 6’2”. But everyone’s back is different.

Indeed, it is. Adjusting the seat is easier when you use the horizontal screen (where the massage function is located) instead of the seat buttons. My spouse and I were impressed by how adjustable the seat was. The lumbar support, seat extensions, and other features were quite adjustable. My wife, who is not tall (5’3”), was able to find a perfect adjustment, just as I was with my 6’3” height.

I'd motorize the charge port door so it can auto-close. I suspect this seems dumb, but as a 10 year Tesla driver the hardest thing to get used to is having to manually close the charge port door. It seems like I have to stop the car, get out and push the charge port door closed about half of the time I leave the house. I'd gladly trade the second row seat motors for this: I open and close the charge port at least once a day, but I don't drop the second row seats very often.

Note that this is admittedly nit-picking, but it is the thing I would change. The things that really matter (range, ride, charging) are vastly better in Gravity than in any of my Teslas.

I would love to be able to buy a cover for the gap between the second and third row of seats. That would give us some small amount of concealed storage space (when the third row seats are stowed) and will be necessary for car camping. I'll probably cut a piece plywood to fit and wrap it in carpet for camping use.

This!! 👆🏼Totally! Hahaha! I keep forgetting to close it!

I would also like a different cupholder option. Current placement prevents access to the under-tray storage if there’s a cup in the holder. I use a travel mug for coffee on my commute to the office every day, and given the placement, the tray cannot slide forward even a little to make access to under storage easy. Small nit, but since you asked.

I also find myself wishing designers had figured out an easy way to store the cargo cover when not in use.

I don’t have mine yet, but as someone who has kids with cups in the car a lot, I wish they put cup holders as a slide out or something near rear seat screen. By being in armrest, when I have three across or two and the dog, the backseat cupholders can’t be used. Which leads to the inevitable spill or worse, constant whining of the child!

3) Ship with matte/oleophobic screen coating on the pilot panel (and maybe the main console)
4) Some sort of retention mechanism for the wireless charging pads. A sudden stop slides the phones forward and off the Qi charging point.

A good list, but these two items especially from my perspective.

We applied the matte cover @hydbob recommended to the Pilot Panel, and it worked wonders to tame the glare and fingerprints. However, it was very tricky to cut properly and to apply without air bubbles, and it would be so much better to have it come from the factory.

And we've had our phones stop charging several times without noticing it until later.

Coming from both Teslas and our Lucid Air (which has an auto-close port), we've had this same problem. It's weird how something as obvious as a port door standing open can escape notice if you're habituated to not having to pay attention to it.

I think the reason why it continues to elude me is that my hands are always full when I'm about to leave: briefcase, coffee mug and/or water bottle, etc. So, getting one hand free to unplug on my way to the drivers door is hard enough, once I'm holding the charge cable I definitely don't have a free hand to push the door closed. By the time I've hung the charge cable up and opened the driver's door, I'm thinking about where I'm going (or what error messages are going to appear :-) ) and I forget about the charge port door.

Same -- and the vehicle knows the door is open, so I wish the alerts on this were far more prominent! We had someone stop us to tell us our charge port door was open. Seems like a weird oversight.

Probably more like decades of no indication on gas cars 🤣

I'm so used to the auto off turn signals on the Teslas, that I keep leaving the signals on after turning, sometimes for a few blocks. The audible click is not strong enough, especially if I have music playing. This should be a relatively easy future software update fix.

Your turn signal does not turn off after you turn? Mine does so that might need to be looked into by service.

We've had some sporadic problems with turn signals (especially on left turns) not self-canceling on turns where our Air always self-cancels. I'm just getting so weary of tracking and reporting new glitches that I have not mentioned it so far. But since others are seeing the same thing, I guess it's worth throwing my hat into the ring, too. I'm hoping it will be an OTA software fix when Lucid finally gets around to it after all the other things they've got to fix.

I'm 50/50 on 90 degrees turns. I'm assuming it's a digital stalk signal, since I never hear a click. And I would assume after a certain turn of the wheel, it would automatically turn off like a normal car would. But it seems to do it when it feels like it.
Adding to list for service center visit.
