Yay Hardware upgrade CPU and memory

I only use the Homelink button at my other house, will be there mid-week this week and try it out.
But even before the upgrade my Homelink on the Lucid dash always worked great first push.
I only push it within ~20' of the garage. It's a 27-year-old opener, branded "overhead door."
Good luck!

I got the upgrade this past Friday, luck had mine in for 2-year service and luck had one in stock for me at the Seattle service center.
It is noticeably (to me) snappier than before.
I haven't used CarPlay in a while so it looks different from the last time I used it:

Shout out to the Seattle Lucid service center staff and some visiting Lucid execs for throwing a fun well-run Owners Club event yesterday,
~52 Air's all caravan-ed to the Electrify Expo in nearby Redmond. A few good audience questions in Q&A.
How did you find out about the owner's event? I would have liked to join that.

Invite only and only after you’ve learnt the secret handshake to be allowed entry :p

You can sign up here

It’s a leased vehicle, just ride out the lease and get a new model when the time comes with all the upgraded processors.

If I tint or PPF my leased vehicle that’s on me, not BoA/Lucid and I would assume the same if I did the CPU upgrade on a leased Air if I had one.
That is what I will do, but it would be a nice way to maintain lessee loyalty, especially for those of us paying hundreds more than current rates... Lucid then gets back an upgraded lease return too. This is the vehicle's operating system so not the same as somebody spending money on PPF or tinting....

It’s not Lucid’s vehicle anymore. BoA owns it and with the invoices people are receiving upon lease returns at the moment I wouldn’t be adding anything additional to the car as you’ll probably need that money for the petty end of lease invoice you’ll receive.

Could not have said this better myself. Thanks for putting that into perspective. I wish Lucid would take their name off the financial services company, tho. Just so BofA's bad acts aren't inexorably linked to them. "Branding" is important, and the Lucid brand is excellent.

For those of you with the newer system, does it improve the time it takes for the cameras to work. Not always but many times I'm ready to drive but the cameras haven't come online yet. Also does it improve the time it takes for Carplay to connect?

I have a 2025 Air and all of that is pretty instantaneous.

I saw Lucid listed on the Tesla app but everyone here said it was not active for the Airs yet. I attempted to try my Lectron adapter anyway a few weeks ago but because of the location of my front license plate i could not get close enough to the Tesla supercharger cable due to the curb. I have since removed the license plate and will try the Tesla SC again and report back, probably tomorrow. Thanks for the info!
I tried to charge my 2023 Air Touring at an ordinary typical Tesla SuperCharger in Kissimmee Florida today. The stall on the end was designed for cars with the charging port on the side, about a third of the way into the stall. Plenty of reach and a nice, comfortable tension-free connection to the Lectron NACS to CCS adapter. The connector clicks to the adapter and the car were positive and well defined. Initial connection resulted in those glorious green lights at the charge port and then I received the error message stating that charging would not begin, to disconnect and reconnect. Tried it two more times without success. Mission failure.

On behalf of all of us, thanks for sparing us the embarrassment infront of the Tesla owners. 😂

As I said (and got slammed for saying it): you will not be able to charge an Air in a Supercharger that does not have MagicDock. Air is not provisioned with Tesla just yet. It is coming soon. It will be announced when Lucid Air is capable of charging at Superchargers with no MagicDocks.

I agree 💯 but I just had to try it based upon the previous poster’s experience. I charge at home except for long trips to/from upstate NY which are rare for us, maybe twice per year.
