Hagerty race: Dream goes 10.5 at 139mph

I just watched again and see the GT listed in the leaderboard at the end of the video! (Near the bottom of the section they show)

Not sure if this is an estimate or they actually got to test one. But according to the leaderboard, GT does 11.0 @ 128

I hate you…I was specifically looking for the GT except in the 11.2 column.

Thanks for the heads up!

The Rivian is just geared much lower so it has more torque. The compromise is that the motor is spinning faster so horsepower drops off sooner (electric motors lose horsepower at high RPM.)
For "normal" people, the lower gearing makes sense to deliver performance. After all, unless you take the vehicle to a track, you probably never notice the Rivian tapering off as it approaches 130 MPH. My driving is below 85 MPH, with maybe a handful of times year that I briefly go above that by 5 or 10 MPH.

Not that I'm complaining about the Gravity's performance. Even a GGT will still be the fastest car I've ever owned.

The Plaids and Rivian both have half shaft issues so that's one downside to more torque. Shorter gearing would also reduce efficiency.
It would also be plenty quick for me, I probably only use full power once a day on my Model 3 and the Gravity is significantly quicker.
