Anybody go to the Gravity test drive event in VA today (or planning to go this weekend)? I'm going Friday. Just curious how it was.

11:40 am appt tomorrow. Saw it at the studio on Wednesday…truly stunning in person! Can’t wait to drive it.

I'll be leaving my house about 11:30 to get there (2 hour drive). I am excited. Do you know if we have to go to the studio or service center for this event? The invite and confirmation don't list the address.

Mrs TakeDuo just drove at Tysons corner this evening. Said it was well organized and topnotch. She does recommend arriving a few mins early like the reservation indicated so as to not cut into your drive time.

Gravity was awesome she said. Enjoy!

I believe it’s at the service center in Tysons II…that’s where I saw it (I forgot there was the separate showroom in Tysons I).

She made the mistake of going to a service center. Her’s was at a mall. I live in SoCal so unfamiliar with the area. I’d call ahead to verify.

Both are malls. Takes 5 minutes to get between them though, so not too big a deal if you show up to the wrong one with time to spare. The picture I saw was definitely at the showroom at Tysons Corner Center, not the service center at the Galleria. Go to the entrance by Cava, Lucid has a section of parking garage reserved for test drive vehicles right across from there.

Will they have any available just for viewing or are all of them designated for test drives? I would be happy just getting a chance to view the vehicle in person in a showroom.

I'm not sure - my ride isn't until 3:40pm but I'll reply and let you know if they have any just for looking at.

I did my test drive at 3pm in Tyson’s and traffic was already getting heavy…don’t get too excited about where you are going to be able to drive it because there isn’t enough time. It was easy to go to store in mall and check it…then someone will take you to car when it’s your time. I would arrive early to look and sit in production version in showroom.

While on one hand, I'm hoping not to have a reason to visit the Lucid Tysons service center or the mall anytime soon, it's the one closest to me, and I am kind of looking forward to the next time I need to stop by for service just to see a Gravity in person. That said, I am also not looking forward to it. My guess is that I am going to think a Gravity would be a great family car for us, and right now our family car is a minivan with no payments and less than 100k on the odometer. I would be a financial idiot to walk away from that.

But I'm capable of many dumb things for beauty. Ask my wife! That said, I also think asking my wife, would shut the "getting a Gravity" thing down hard, at least for a few years yet.

You can also hang out in the showroom after your drive. No reason you have to get there early unless you’re the last drive and they’re going to close.

My wife always commends me being "a hard-worker and great provider".
As such, I was able to justify a GGT purchase by saying that "driving to and from work is the best part of day"; only 2nd to seeing her and our dear son! Her response was, "honey, get whatever car you want".

Truth be told, I was going to get it anyway, consequences be damned.
Glad that I figured out an easier way.

As they say, better to beg forgiveness than ask for permission ;). It works 100%, almost 50% of the time
Doing same! Wife is gonna be like, Dream Edition? What's that mean???

🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

wait, Why does this car cost 20k more than you said it would?

......

Tariffs...inflation....gnome taxes. The usual. Weeeee! This extra hp sure is great! 🤣

We drove up to Tysons Corner from NC to have our Air Touring serviced Wednesday afternoon and was able to do the Gravity drive early Thursday morning. The entire Lucid team was very accommodating. The process was well organized, and actually, 20 minutes behind the wheel confirmed everything we have heard, seen, and read about this SUV. Compared to our ‘23 AT, it is smoother, quieter and just as comfortable. Plus easier to get in and out. My wife couldn’t stop smiling during the whole experience. Sitting in the middle and rear seats was the highlight of her day, for some reason. We don’t have kids at home but I can see her planning road trips for all our friends. We have a GGT White on order since Nov. Worth the wait

We just got back from our ride. It was awesome. It was everything we loved about our AGT but better - which is kinda hard to do. It didn't feel like it was a big'un when we got wiggly with it. We missed one of the turns due to me not knowing the area well and got to take a nice little detour where it was all S shaped. We went thru it hard too because nobody was there. We also did some crazy good u-turns. They could sell the car off that alone. The Gravity turns like my old ID4 did. We spent a lot of time playing inside the one in the studio as well.
