Having both sedans (Air) and Crossover/ SUVs (Gravity) in the lineup is perfect. Meets most needs. Then, hopefully soon, launching the smaller, less expensive “Midsize” (likely crossover first, then maybe a midsize/ small sedan), would be the icing on the cake. Provided of course Lucid is alive and well by the time those milestones are reached.
I think that ramping up Gravity manufacturing to the extent the sales would surpass Air sales would take months. Perhaps by 2026 calendar year. But eventually yes, people in US tend to buy more SUVs & Crossovers than Sedans.
As a side note, anecdotally, I stopped by the local Studio / Service Center yesterday to put in the bear logo / decals on my Air Touring I bought in February, and I spoke with several Lucid folks. They were all extremely confident Lucid will meet and exceed the 20,000 vehicles sold goal for 2025. They were very busy. Of course, this is just one small datapoint, and may not mean much
