Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Grand Touring

This group's discussion has matured and refined it's edges on many aspects of the AGT since I began reviewing it. And, now I am pleased to transition from a [former] AT order holder to a [soon-to-be] AGT owner. Thank you [all] for providing insights on your experiences throughout the AGT journey and I look forward to all the future opportunities to engage with you. Happy Holidays to everyone and here's to passing you on the road in our AGT's!
 
Joe.. as my order is transitioned over to the AGT listing, the following changes occurred by moving from the AT to the AGT:
Rims: previously - '20 > now - '21
VIN: previously - unassigned > now - assigned
Delivery Date: previously AT - unassigned > now - AGT undergoing PDI w/a projected delivery date of 12/17 (AGT is at PHX - Scottsdale Center)
With the exception of standard AGT features, the AT on order had all the options (except larger rims).

My VIN was assigned 10/28. Care delivered 12/9

What was the turning point for you to switch/upgrade? Was it EOY delivery or expected better range/performance/features of the AGT?

I am in same situation. Turning point for me was the not too large cost differential between the fully loaded AT and the standard AGT with the added features and range.

Anyway, VIN got assigned tonight after I switched from AT to AGT, same configuration. Status for mine is Preparing for delivery” even though the Order is still showing Change requested.

Congrats and so excited as you are.
 
My original order was confirmed November 4th for the Touring. Since I upgraded to the GT, my new order was re-confirmed November 30th, 2022. My GT was delivered on December 4th and I am so glad I upgraded to the GT from the Touring. The power is phenomenal, the range is exceptional, the massage seats are fantastic. Best of all, I should get the $7500 tax credit now, but probably would not have if I had waited until 2023 for the Touring to be delivered.

Wait, you got it in FIVE days? Making me seriously reconsider a pure..
 
Car arrived today. Drove it to test charging and top off. The car was nearly responsible for a half dozen accidents as people craned in their seats to look at it.
 
Finally happened! Picked up my GT today. The craziest thing...was immaculate, no dirt, no loose hardware, fully charged, no bad finish, had a one hr session at the Scottsdale location and drove it out into traffic. Behaves like a champ. Didnt brick, or burp. Got it home and linked Homelink, Tidal, phone etc. Downloaded 2.36 and it still worked. Drives like a dream. I think I'll keep it. Of course I would sell it outright for $200K ... and then go get another. Now looking for places to drive.
 
And let me say - thank you to the forum and the moderators for all the information that helped along the way. I expect I will continue to need guidance and it's nice knowing there is help not far away.

Took delivery Sunday and got the black cap and lug nut covers. Looks sweet. Don’t mind the gross garage floor!
