Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Just spoke with my SA about Touring deliveries and she said two things fairly confidently:

1. There are multiple deliveries occurring at the Santa Monica location today and there will likely be a video of this released later.

2. Since I opted for all of the recommended features (basically fully loaded without Stealth), I will be able to take delivery before the end of the year. I asked if it was because the number of confirmed orders with those features was within the current production capacity and she said yes.

I will believe it when I see it, but this same SA has given me virtually zero assurances all year long, so it was a drastic shift in tone.

Open question on my end is whether I can authorize someone else to pick the car up for me since I will be out of the country until January 1st.

I'd love to get my Touring before 12-31 as well to 100% guarantee delivery of the tax credit. But I'd take before April 15th as clarity on the tax issues should be resolved by then (hopefully!!)

Yea, that would be nice. Turns out the pick-up location is a bit further away than I would have imagined, so I'm considering all of my options. Would be nice to drive it down the PHC/101 though (Costa Mesa, CA down to San Diego). I will be moving back from living abroad with two kids, so it's a bit of a hassle on the day I get back. Biggest thing that I care about is making sure I don't do anything to mess with the $7,500 tax credit at that point. Hopefully Lucid is accommodating.

Yeah, honestly though it was stretching my budget a little, because I wanted to spend a good 5-8k getting the floormats, charger, ppf, cleaning materials, ceramic, etc...

But the deal was just too good, I was literally minutes away from putting my deposit down on the 119k black AGT in Michigan, but the scuffed wheel had me conflicted

You did good. Even if you replace the scuffed wheel, it is a great deal. What this means I think is 30% of the people who buy GT decide to sell in the near future because they
want the NBT (next big thing), here will be no demand for Touring. I already know that in 15yrs, I will only by a lightly used EV if I am alive and driving past 80

Not going to lie, I have been looking at cars.com for a Zenith Red/Santa Cruz for a good price near me before I take delivery of my Touring. I got it at $95K original price so the GT would really have to be around the price you found yours at for me to jump on it used.
