No one makes compatible all season tires in the 20 or 21 inch size (yet). Eventually they will.

Basically here's what he's saying:

That's what I understood from his message. But I don't know, it sounds a little weird too because if Dream Drive is working, you'd know exactly what cameras and sensors that you'd need for it to behave correctly. You shouldn't need to wait until implementation to find out that it won't work lol

I confirmed with my SA, and apparently they have updated the website to remove confusion. Highway Assist is Dreamdrive Pro Only.

Confusion from what though? They've said Highway Assist was in Dreamdrive until just recently from what I've seen. So it wasn't a, 'oh the population is misinterpreting our semantics so we'll have to update the website', no this was a blatant 'we're flip flopping and no longer offering it in Dreamdrive'

In their words “confusion”, in our words “taking away something they yahad said was part of Dreamdrive”. I am annoyed, but not much to do if you want it.

To be fair, I think Dream Drive is meant to be a work in progress. A suite of features that will evolve over time. We judge Lucid (rightly) by the standards of every other auto company's offerings. But it took every one of those companies a lot longer than a year to get their ADAS systems where they are now.

Given how quickly and well the entire rewrite of their platform went, I'm thinking Dream Drive and Dream Drive Pro will be getting much more "dreamy" in the coming years. And maybe then it will live up to its name.

Yes, they will just contact your sales advisor. My sales advisor offered to sell me a set of 19's and have them come out via mobile service to install since the car's ECU will have to be calibrated if ANY wheels are changed from the car's original configuration. This came up when I questioned my sales advisor on the reason why Lucid forgot over 70% of the country get's winter/snow and why no all season tire option for the larger wheels.

I agree. It's almost as if Lucid is forcing you to buy an extra set of wheels and tires for the winter if you wantthe larger size wheels.

Every car manufacturer I know from BMW, Porsche, Audi etc. offers you a choice of summer or All Season when you order a car from them.

It would be nice if Lucid said it is aware of the problem and is making arrangements with a tire manufacturer to suppley A/S tires in the future.

I agree with this, also I was told by my SA that they will offer a in-between camera upgrade system where you can take your car in and have more cameras installed (separate from DreamDrive Pro) that will offer more features in accordance with DreamDrive or ADAS, and he said price is TBA

This doesn't make much sense to me. At that point I'd just pay for the full DDP and move on.

If the price is reasonable I might bite. I very, very rarely spend more than an hour at a time on roads where Highway Assist might help. And for that hour I actually want to drive the car. But more cameras for parallel parking or blind spots would be nice.

Resale value. It might be attractive to potential buyers down the road if the car had the full suite of self driving features.

I'm not sure. Maybe check out the resale values of Tesla's with and w/o FSD.

If dd pro prevents just one accident in the duration of your ownership, that is probably worth it. That is my reason for wanting it.

seeing posts like these, it will only incentivize lucid to remove basic features and make it a premium. buyers like you will just get DDP. honestly, it's unfair to customers. maybe $ is not a factor for folks.
