Lucid Air in Service Queue for 7 Weeks. What Does This Mean for Long-Term Ownership?

Is it worse than lots of other stuff out there though?
I don't know, because I had Lyriqs on my mind lately, and they just had a major brake system recall. So jeez, it's not really safe to go anywhere.
Not even Toyota really.
1. you'd have to deal with their horrendous, borderline criminal dealer sales.
2. my soul feels like it's dying when driving Toyotas. My washing machine tickles me more.
3. some of their engines are grenadeing lately also.
Yes its much worse as far as service goes. Cadillac might have had a brake recall but there's 6 dealers near Chicago to fix it.
Have you considered BMW evs?

1. agreed
2. Toyotas include "anti fun and soul removal" technology as a standard feature
3. they sure are! No wonder they used the same V6 for 30 years, as soon as they changed, BOOM!

Well this was a depressing thread to read.
I'm getting major Stellantis vibes from these experiences. I should know, I'm living on the Stellantis struggle bus also.

There's some common threads I've been experiencing at the Chicago service center the past 14+ months.
When I first got my 23AP, service was awesome! Their communication was great, and they were speedy, and the work was done really well.
I experienced both mobile service and pick up/drop off.
I will admit though, having ONE service center in the middle of Chicago, is kind of a drag.
There are so many other places they could've put it. It's ok with the pick-up/drop off service, but if I were to buy one of these and be out of the 3/36 warranty, that service ends. And I'd have to schlep this car at least 1hr-1.5hrs one way into the city for anything mobile couldn't do.
With their service capacity dwindling as sales go up, I can't believe they've not opened a satellite service center more out in the burbs?
Or maybe I can believe, because the quality of the staff and communication have really plummeted, even at Chicago, the past 1-1.5 years.
And what is to say that Lucid will do mobile service on out of warranty vehicle.

Have you considered BMW evs?
I have, and also have not.
I've not seen as many desperate/juicy promotions from BMW.
I also kinda hate their styling.
I do like the old iX, and while BMW's reliability has gone significantly up in the past years, as that pre-owned iX stock goes up in age, so does the usual BMW maintenance needs / $$$$$.

Their EVs are solid, I've got 42,000 on mine and the "maintenance" has been a brake fluid flush and cabin air filter. That's it, there's nothing else. Kinda nice.

Well last I looked at BMW they took a $60,000 car and turned it into a $100,000 car with just a couple of clicks.
