Crash

Thank you. Yes, perhaps I didn't understand what the body shop tech said regarding graphs. I've now read that it will show exact data as to whether or not the accelerator was pressed, or it there was some kind of malfunction. I'll speak to the insurance adjuster and find out if they will request the logs, or if I should.
Even if the insurance
I've never had an accident that was my fault. (Never even had a moving violation ticket.) There were a couple of claims where I was hit by uninsured motorists and my insurance company paid. I don't recall that my rates were changed back then or not. California is a no-fault state, so regardless of circumstances, I get dinged and was told my premium will increase by 45% !
well, the weather is nice anyways

I don't expect to take this to an attorney anyway. I was responding to someone who said it would cost me at least $500 even to get it to trial. Have no idea what they meant by that.
The number was $500,000 not $500
And that means you will spend about a half million just to get your day in court

You still need to spend to potentially win, maybe.

You can file an incident report with NHTSA. With two similar incidents very close to each other, they may investigate. Then if your vehicle was at fault, thne it will be easy to find an attorney for the case without much cost.

It’s a contingency case where the attorney would receive their fee as a percentage of a settlement/judgement. But absent an injury the damages would be the value of the car. And those costs will be incurred by the insurer which would have lien rights on any settlement. That’s a disincentive for a plaintiff’s attorney to take on the case. As disturbing as it may be the settlement value is nominal at best.

Well, we have another occurrence…
Same thing happened here exactly a week ago. Car shot off like rocket into the car parked about 6 feet in front of us, while in line at school pick up! We hit that car with such force, that it jumped forward (while parked and unoccupied) and hit the car in front of it. No accelerator pressed. Insurance is dragging their feet. Opened a case with Lucid, and after being very responsive in the beginning, after looking into the incident, and speaking with their legal department, they’ve gone silent. Looks like I’ll have to take matters into my own hands, and extract the EDR data on my own account. The facts and data will speak for itself.

Yikes Lucid needs to get in front of this quickly if it's becoming a thing.

speaking with their legal department
How'd that conversation go? Were you asking for telemetry data or did they reach out to you? Not the first time we've heard of them clamming up once counsel gets involved.
