Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

We're coming up on 5 months since the last Gravity feature release. This would be understandable if the platform was mature, but they have a lot of outstanding features that were promised. What is going on??? Am I being impatient or do others feel the same?

...they have a lot of outstanding features that were promised. What is going on??? ...
They are still working on them and aren't ready to release them yet.

...Does Lucid have a time range setting like the BMW?
No. Lucid vehicles have only a programmable start time.
But if your home charging station supports scheduled charging, you can set a scheduled charging window there and turn off the car's scheduled charging feature.

The way it has worked for me in the Lucid Air and Gravity is that it will start charging between the start charging time and a 6 hour forward window. But to be honest, I haven't tested that out too much lately.
I have not seen that behavior. It simply won't charge if I'm past the set time...unless I'm missing a setting?

Yes, my charging station should. Thanks. Helpful!

They're in the process of rebuilding the company just to survive, so I'm not surprised feature releases for already-sold cars aren't the priority. Curious though what feature releases you're referring to? I know of PAAK, which they recently said is pushed to next year.

I'm more concerned with just fixing the bugs at this point. Although I am looking at PAAK as being a bug fix for the fob problems some of us are still experiencing.

There's a part of me that's (sadly) a little surprised they're still able to get anything out for cars that were already sold. Feels like there could be a point where we just get deprioritized and fall off the end while they spend their remaining capital just trying to generate revenue to hang on. Not there yet, I don't think, but...

Clearly. My point is a cadence of a feature update every 5 months isn't exactly confidence inspiring, particularly for those leasing with the understanding that a number of the outstanding features would be "coming soon".

Fair point, I guess I should probably temper my expectations.

In addition to PAAK, I was looking forward to video streaming, AI assistant, improved auto park, V2H, and P2P (or at least on-ramp to off-ramp).

Will it start charging if the start time is hours in the future and the car goes to sleep?

I have and it has worked for me. Not sure if it'll cover up to 6 hours, but I have mine scheduled for 10 pm and if I plug it at 11 pm starts charging right away, it doesn't wait until the next cycle

I'd love some cool new features too, but given Lucid's tenuous state, my priority is just hoping everything on the car I have now works. Getting service is already big chore (although it appears to be less bad for those living close to the best service centers). I own mine, not lease. Other than the fob, mine's working well enough that I could probably live with it for a decade as-is even if nothing new was added. Which is not out of the realm of possibility. That's not the mindset I wanted to settle for when I ordered the car more than a year ago, but I knew there was that risk. Hopefully that's still premature thinking and Lucid will go on to prosper and support us, but I'm prepping myself just in case.

On the plus side, it's a pretty damn good car just as it is, despite a few shortcomings. It's such a superb road-tripper, which is exactly why we bought it. We do around 15,000 road trip miles every year, 2k-3k at a time. And being an EV, things don't tend to break. Our Mach-E only had one issue in 5 years. Thank God they added Android Auto to the Gravity. That became the bypass for multiple shortcomings. I rely heavily on it for all audio and nav.

I'm having difficulty here too. In my previous BMW iX, I set a time range of 7pm to 10am and it will charge anytime within that timeframe, which is great when you have time-of-day electricity rates. In the Lucid, I set it for 7pm and if I plug in at 7:30pm, it won't charge until 7pm the next day, so I must remember to override and initiate charge. Does Lucid have a time range setting like the BMW?
@CJGravity Lucid does not have a range like BMW. I've asked for the implementation of a range. Send a request to [email protected] with the request. The more of us that do so the more likely the change happens

This is the way that it works for me. The charger must have power when you plug in for it to either charge or set scheduled charging. If you are using the schedule built into the car, you should not have a schedule set on your charger.

While I agree with the design of the vehicle and the driving experience, the software experience just is not up to standard. Considering cars are becoming about the software and keeping promises, I'm afraid Lucid is signing their own death warrant. Not good for me considering I just signed a 3-year lease in June expecting at least PAAK in September (yes, shame on me). It's only going to get worse seeing Rivian keep promises, having launched point-to-point TODAY on an invite-only basis as they prepare for wide release. Can I at least get a way to move through Sirius XM presets with the steering wheel controls?

I hate this. Some people are taking it that way sure, but I don't think it's most people, and I hope it is put to rest in general. On both ends. I for one am not buying a car or any product for promises. I'm buying a car for the car that it is. I don't even want to hear promises from auto makers. They're not my friends, I'm not (yet, anyway) paying a subscription to "new car stuff," so they can hold that nonsense in and I'll buy the car that is for sale today. And yes, I've been satisfied with the Gravity I got since day one.

Their early access program for point-to-point is not available "today". Folks that are given early access are slated to get access to point to point in December, and only in California and Florida.
