Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

It's been stated repeatedly in here by many owners that the fob issues have stopped. If anyone is still having issues then they need to take it up with Lucid directly because there were some TSB's to address issues particularly with the fob itself and the center console. My fob has worked flawlessly for months now as it has with others.
Yes, that's why I relayed my interaction with Lucid in the post above. Maybe you didn't see it.

They've stopped for many. They haven't stopped for others. Which is presumably why 3 straight updates continue to say they're attempting another fob improvement.

A friend of mine is new to Lucid and Gravity. He told me he got a pop up on the driver console to open the app and give mobile app access to drive. He opened the app and did the same and able to drive with his phone without a key fob or key card. Anyone else is seeing this? Are they selectively rolling PaaK? I don’t have a Graviry but this is what he told me. 2026 Touring.

It will be the remote start

New or existing feature? This is the first time he saw it and he is able to drive without fob or keycard and no pin. He has a fob icon on the app. Will have him send a screenshot.

Existing. You press the icon in the app and it will allow you to get into the car by pressing the handle and then just drive. Has a 2 min countdown when activated.

That remote start feature has been around for 6 months, I use it when I feel like not carrying the fob because of pocket/pants limitations. I have had the fob fall out of my pocket too many times into the crevices...

It does work very well actually, never had any issues with it. The only limitation is that requires a connection

Yeah..that..can’t wait for PAAK to come. Relying on an internet connection to access your vehicle is a recipe for failure.
Never be without internet! 🤣

And you can't take the car out of gear without having to start all over. I learned that when I stopped at the mailbox. Stopped there, put it in park, left the driver door open and the car "running" for 15 seconds like normal while I grabbed the mail and got back in. Tried to put it back in gear and nope, nothing. After a moment of panic, I remembered to grab the phone, open the app, and re-enable it.

I though that might be a permanent way around my persistent fob delays, but I don't like the idea of having to reauthorize drive gear anytime I may take it out of gear. Like getting the mail every day, or worse, sitting in a construction or traffic backup on the highway and forgetting I can't just take it out of gear for a minute and put it back in gear without doing a reauth (and praying I'm not in a dead cell zone).

Right, that's why it's not a replacement for PAAK, just a temporary workaround for limited use cases

hopefully we get it soon, but I’m pretty doubtful. I don’t even think scheduled charging works yet. Even my $2 alarm clock works when I set it to go off, yet Lucid can’t even get the scheduled charging to work.

Scheduled charging works for me in both the Air and Gravity. How are you setting up scheduled charging?

The last time I set it, it didn’t work. I’ll have to try scheduling again to see if it works.

My car is charging right now, but far right phone icon is greyed out.

One annoying thing about the Start Driving button is that you need to unplug from charging, and since your car is locked, you need to press Unlock first, then unplug and then Start Driving Button.

They need to make it so that you can press Start Driving at any time. You then can press the handle to unlock, unplug and start driving off. Or the start driving button should do unlock right there (even if it has to ask).

I'm having difficulty here too. In my previous BMW iX, I set a time range of 7pm to 10am and it will charge anytime within that timeframe, which is great when you have time-of-day electricity rates. In the Lucid, I set it for 7pm and if I plug in at 7:30pm, it won't charge until 7pm the next day, so I must remember to override and initiate charge. Does Lucid have a time range setting like the BMW?

The way it has worked for me in the Lucid Air and Gravity is that it will start charging between the start charging time and a 6 hour forward window. But to be honest, I haven't tested that out too much lately.
