My lease car is developing small tears on the outside driver seat bolster. Recommendations for (preferably mobile) repair?

My car just came out of service for close to two months. I really didn't consider these would be warranty-able. The funny part is my car went in with a single one inch tear on the bolster and came from service with 3.

Covered under warranty and the mobile tech can do the replacement, but it'll happen again.

Although I don't like it because I feel it goes to far back, I have found that by enabling easy access, the re-tearing on the replacement seat has stopped getting worse again.

It's honestly the main reason I probably won't buy out my lease. I want to get one with the leather seats.

After not quite three years and 26k miles, I recently noticed three small tears in the driver's seat perforated PurLuxe. Two toward the front left of the seat cushion, and one (oddly) way up near the headrest. When Lucid does a warranty replacement, do they only replace the torn seat(s)? With my wife and I usually traveling together, I figure that if the driver's seat has started tearing, the front passenger seat cannot be too far behind.

Also, other forum comments suggest that the replacement material is of no better quality than the original, so there's no reason to believe that tears in the new material (And post-warranty TEARS!) won't eventually happen.

Thanks for any insight you could share on the above.

That’s really too bad. I developed tears in the first year. When they started recovering it, they discovered a mechanical flaw in the seat hardware so they replaced the entire seat. The service advisor said he thought the material had been improved, but I wonder if that is true - I doubt it.

Yeah, as I just mentioned in the other thread going on this, I’ve had two seat tears over the last year in my 2025. The first one was on the lower leg bolster. The second more recent one was in the center, middle to upper back portion. In both instances, they replaced the material, but not the entire seat. I do think it’s a manufacturing defect with the material itself especially due to that second tear in the back.
