Interested in Previewing Future Lucid Air Software?

As an Air owner who is currently driving a GGT as a loaner (I know, amazing), the one thing that stood out to me beyond the sharper UI itself was the SMOOTHNESS of the operation. One gripe I’ve always had with the Air, even with this upgraded chip, is for example the framerate on the turn signals and 360 cameras. On the Gravity it’s silky smooth. I’m hoping that a comprehensive software update will fix that issue like it did years ago on my Tesla circa 2020 or so. Otherwise you’re going to have a new slick interface that struggles to keep up. It will be interesting to see the final product.

Have you upgraded your Air's CCC module to V2?
 
Still though I’m hopefully this is more of a software optimization thing than a hardware deficiency. Real made the same leap forward circa 2021 ish or so.

Oops, my bad. I went back and looked, but the was tripped up by the web-scrolling disintegration of my ability to actually fully read a block of text rather than scan with the illusion of comprehension…. :rolleyes:
 
I’m sure Lucid is excited by the fact so many Air owners are curious what the new software was about.

That means people still care about the Air’s future. A signal in and of itself.

As I said before, the last few times they held events like this, public announcements were not too far away. Doesn’t mean this time it will be the same. But if history serves, we’ll hear something in the coming weeks.

I’m sure Lucid would like to get any major software changes out before the holiday season begins. Much harder to get attention for these sorts of things in late November / December.

I suspect you will not see any lag, as that would be a UX consideration they would’ve taken into account, and they’d have thought it was important. Allegedly.

I agree, that would be something I'd expect the developers would want to improve, allegedly.
 
In all honesty- the software in this has a bunch of issues that are really just low hanging fruit to fix. Number one is getting rid of the bugs that require near monthly reset. Screens stop working, freezing, speed limits wrong too much, the constant lock and unlocking whenever go to the garage then when going to the car at work have to go to the app half the time to unlock.. my suggestion is for the engineers to use a Tesla for a month and use this as their guideline. Fix stuff. Move in to the next thing to fix. With OTA updates done sparingly and so many glitches it makes it hard to recommend this car to people. I always say the car is nice but the software sucks. It needs air suspension too in this price range….

Air suspension is a boondoggle and I would never purchase a vehicle that had it-it's a disqualifying feature.
I agree they should fix the locking/unlocking, but in the meantime if you just shut off autolock/open, everything is hunky dory

I don't think air suspension would be a better thing for Air. It's handling and road feel are so good, better than all other EVs I've driven except maybe Taycan. The suspension is really well tuned, and I think air suspension would disrupt that feel. And may introduce more potential for problems.

I think this update will hit a lot more than those other items. But my AIr has been pretty solid despite some slowness in the cameras. I’m pretty happy with it currently.
