OTA 3.6.4

Our liftgate hatch has been working pretty well, other that having a loud click when it unlatches. Almost sounds like the latch is catching on that metal plate.

But we did have an incident a few weeks ago on a road trip where it stayed open after my partner went out to the hotel parking lot to grab something from the car. It was probably just his mistake, but we're not sure what happened. He thinks he closed it but either it tried and failed, or he hit the wrong button on the dash when locking the door (he wasn't carrying the fob since as we all know Lucid only gave us one fob 🫤).

Anyway, it was open for 2 hours before we noticed. Someone stole a leather bag from the rear. We figure about $1500 between the bag, the clothes, $400 of gift cards in the side, and his Porsche Macan key fob. 😩

Anybody else been (or still) having issues with the seating memory not restoring reliably upon "easy entry"? In particular, the steering wheel position often fails to restore when I step on the brake pedal after getting in, even though the correct profile is showing. It feels as though it's been happening more frequently to me after updating to 3.6.4 (but could very well be pre-existing or unrelated).

I’m sorry that happened. In my first few months of ownership, I kept accidentally opening the frunk/trunk from inside my house with the fob in my pocket while the car was parked in the garage. I created an automation in Home Assistant to send a critical notification to my phone every time the frunk/trunk is opened/closed.

Yes, my steering fails to restore in 99% of entries, occasionally it works to my surprise, but there is no pattern to it. I have to manually go to steering screen and touch Restore, takes 2 seconds and I do it every time I get into the car, while saying "compromise nothing" under my breath.

This seems to have gotten much worse after 3.6.4: phantom braking in reverse when backing into a charging stall.

Nearly every time I'm backing into a charging stall this trip, the car goes a few feet and slams on the brakes because it thinks there's as object in the way when there's not. Super annoying.

I assume that's the rear pedestrian safety setting, which can only be turned off EACH DRIVE rather than permanently. I really don't wanna have to remember to dig into the menus every time I back into a charging stall on a road trip.
What really frustrates me is that the Halo Secure never records its phantom braking but records all kinds of near misses I regularly make with its assistance turned off.

Thanks. I did get a notification via the app that said the liftgate was open. But it was at the time that I thought he was out there so I assumed it was him. Didn't dawn on me until later that of course it wasn't just normal liftgate opening, otherwise I'd get that message every time.

I presume it probably sends that message if something is open when it tries to lock. Just like it does the honk/chirp.

Are you saying this is a coincidence? Suddenly it needs adjustments after never having issues until software update which fixed the same issue for the other latch?
Crazier things have happened.

I am experiencing an issue where the passenger HVAC zones (2–3) do not retain their settings after it was turned off when driving alone; and later when vehicle is restarting , those zones are re-enabled again.
I would also like to ask whether others have noticed the absence of “smarter energy management,” including advanced preconditioning and predictive charging functions, following the 3.6 update, as I am trying to better understand and communicate this concern to service.
I am located in Northern Virginia and am increasingly concerned about the level of support being provided, as it does not appear to align with expectations. As a result, my plan to purchase a second vehicle is currently on hold, and I would appreciate it if these concerns could be addressed more thoroughly, as they are impacting my confidence in the overall ownership experience.

Welcome @Arif, if you are using the routing functions in the native Lucid mapping app the car should precondition if the routing gives you charger to stop at along the route. If you are going on a long trip then the mapping will list a charging location for you to stop at based on your current state of charge and your driving. You can adjust how low you are willing to let the state of charge go before stopping at a charging location

Yes, I'm in this boat as well. Steering wheel never restores while seat does. I've turned off comfort entry/exit, as the car is so roomy, combined with the flat wheel bottom, I really don't need the feature like I did in my previous BMW iX or my current X7.

And I'm still on 3.6.0 and I have a long road trip scheduled on Thursday but on 3.6.0 my HandsFree has only worked maybe twice since I got the car in July. I went by the dealer today to ask if they could do something to kick the updates but they claim it is a complicated process that they aren't sure they can complete by the time I leave. Sigh... :(

They also said it would also take a long time because they'd have to apply each intermediate update individually and can't just update from 3.6.0 to 3.6.4 which seems inaccurate to me.

They do have to apply each update in sequence but that shouldn't be a problem once they kickstart the update for 3.6.3 (which will then allow the update to 3.6.4). @marqie is really good at helping out with this sort of thing.

If you don’t mind DMing your VIN, I will see what can be done.
