I know you did not ask me, but I am actively shopping the Gravity against about every other electric SUV available this year. For me, price is definitely a factor - or I should say value.
BEVs have been discounted 10% to 20% off MSRP for the past few years. That meant that cars like the BMW iX M70 that were similarly priced at $120K actually sold for around $100K. The Macan EV gets discounted 6% to 8%, so a similar MSRP Macan would actually be $10K cheaper than the Gravity. The Gravity is by far the most expensive car I am considering, so the key question I am asking myself is "is the Lucid Tax worth it?"
To justify its ultra premium price, the Gravity should be the leader in every nearly aspect of ownership: Best dealership experience, best driving, best performance, best quality, best dependability, best range, best looking, best pedigree, best audio system, best hands-free ADAS, best tech package, best interior, etc. In other words, a car at a non-discounted $120K price point ought to be darn near perfect in most every way.
