Hardware difference between Gravity DreamDrive 2 base and Premium

I am skeptical but hopeful. Thanks for following up.
FWIW, a few hours after I talked with the Chicago Service Center, the guy from Lucid Customer Care I talked to last week about it called me to relay the same info. So it seems confirmed that it's an actual Lucid memo.

How soon (and if) it actually happens, we'll see.

To add to assertions by others that the hw is already there, this image from my car certainly shows a truncated view of the feature I would most like to be made available: 360 view. The area around the vehicle can be seen - they just need to stop cutting it off. Should mean they can also do blind spot view with the same hw?

Am I reading that right that 360 view isn’t standard on all Gravitys? That’s crazy. My 2025 Air Pure has that standard. It must’ve been during that period where they were still trying to optimize their packages.

Correct. It's part of the upper two Dream Drive2 tiers, both extra options. DD2 (standard) does not include the 3D or blind spot camera views. DD2 Premium and DD2 Pro do. But if you only got standard DD2 and want those camera views, they said they'll be offering the DD2 Premium as a software upgrade via the app at some point.

I agree it's disappointing that such a premium car wouldn't include something that's now fairly routine like 3D views as standard. That's something basic enough I would think would come standard at this price and premium car level.

Agree. Even more shocking because the car wants to do this by default and is actively being limited…

It’s the standard for software based vehicles. Tesla does software locking also; acceleration boost, FSD, footwell lighting and even speakers.
The Model X is in the same price range as the Gravity and doesn’t even offer 360 cameras, or even USS.

I can see it more for self-driving features. Or self-parking. Things that are significant extra functions. Like massaging seats, tow package, a 3rd seating row, etc.

But for simply displaying the other 2 camera views, I'm a little surprised that's not standard on such a premium vehicle. Especially when they included as standard the proximity sensor beeping, parking distance readings, and front and rear camera displays. On cheaper cars you often have to upgrade to get any those things. Here they're giving us most of it standard (which is a good thing at this premium price point) but dropping off the 2 remaining camera views seems like an odd place to draw the line since the other camera views are standard. Kinda seems like it would be all-or-nothing on camera views.

But, so be it.

Looks like the software lock has been priced and is available to unlock: DD2 base -> DD2 Premium.

And the costs is? I have DDPro already but am curious.

See this thread...

Does anyone remember what the original prices were for Premium and Pro on '26 models?

+$1500 and +$6750

Ah, interesting that they include Premium now for free, but they didn't drop the Pro price to match. Pro is still $6750...
