So, I created my own custom wheels with the help of Splux Forged Wheels. The wife is a big Lakers fan and wanted a pop of color, so I designed the inner barrel in a purple finish, added my own personal logo and a few other custom touches. I had to provide all the measurements on my own, but luckily this forum and some research of my own helped. I ended up going with a 22" setup all around running 9.0 in front and 10 in the rear.

From design to delivery, these took less than 2 months. I got them installed 3 days ago and have received MANY compliments since then. I like my vehicles to have some kind of personality and I've found the inner barrel being colored provides just enough of a pop to catch the eye, but it's still subtle enough to not be jarring.

Do you have a picture of what they look like with Michigan snow, slush and salt on them? Trying to picture them on my car....

Front - 13.3kg/29.3lb (21x10 ET30)
Rear - 13.4kg/29.6lb (21x10.5 ET36)

They are 21 pounds lighter than my current 22 inch wheels!!!

What tires are you planning to run? I currently have a 295 front and a 10.5” would allow a 315 rear.

This is the tire I use, braking top notch dry or wet. Can go 295/285. 315 you would have to mix and match brands.

I'll experiment more with my next set of tires.
My Gravity is only at ~3300 miles.

I’m at 7k and suddenly have an extra half a set of 265s…sounds like you have more wheels than tires now…

Curious your ET on these? Does it feel close to flush to you? Most aggressive ET so far looks like ET24 front / ET31 rear from Jackles post. Getting my gravity in a few weeks and looking to get some custom BBS LM style wheels and would like as deep as lip as possible

Pretty sure he went factory spec.

I pushed it as far as 22x10 with 30 et and 295 front and 285 rear.

Right now I am running 22/23” with 275/295 and they fit just fine at stock spec. I am considering spacing them out by 22.5mm.

On stock et a 22.5mm spacer would put you at an et of like 21.5 front and 28.5 rear? Be curious if that is doable. More aggressive than your 30 et. Would love to see how it sits.

@Skywalker is correct. My final specs are

Front: 22x10 ET24
Rear: 23x10.5 ET31
This gives a flush fitment on “low” but tucks in at very low.

I went 0.5” wider and +20MM offset compared to stock specs.

An additional +2.5MM sounds doable..

This is how close I am to rubbing on +20MM on “low”

Creating a thread for those who are interested in putting aftermarket wheels on their Gravity. I run aftermarket wheels on all my cars.

Here’s some insight.

Currently having 3-pieces forged wheels being made by a local wheel company I’ve worked with before, located and manufactured in Anaheim, CA. FEA testing done to insure the wheels are rated for the Gravity’s transmission ratio and torque.

OEM 22/23” wheels sit flush to the fender when you put 20MM spacers. This gave us a better idea of how much offset we need for the custom wheels.

Specs for OEM 22/23”s are:
Front: 22x9.5 ET44
Rear: 23x10 ET51

A concern we ran into when measuring offset was that the fenders protrude a decent amount, which makes the gap between the tires and fender very tight when you turn the wheels. Similar fitment challenges can happen with Mercedes-Benz Wheels as well, where getting the right offset is important to avoid rubbing while maintaining a clean flush look.

We decided to run +15MM offset on the customs instead of +20MM just in case I rub. I’ll run a 5MM spacer if 20MM doesn’t rub.

Running same 22x9.5 and 23x10 and reusing OEM PZero tires. Projected mid-December for completion. Will post more pictures as production progresses.

It’s great that you’re considering the fender clearance and steering angle instead of only focusing on getting the wheels flush. The +15MM offset sounds like a safer choice, especially since a small amount of extra clearance can prevent rubbing issues during turns or suspension compression. Keeping the OEM tire sizes is also a good move since it should preserve the factory ride quality and handling characteristics. Looking forward to seeing the finished wheels installed on the Gravity. The custom forged setup should look great once everything is complete.

I skipped the 22.5mm spacer and just ordered a custom 22x9.5 and 22x11 setup. Hope it fits, results closer to September.

037 Is this photo your 22x10 30et setup? I ordered my wheels and went 2mm more aggressive offset than Jackles at the same width. I asked the wheel manufacturer if needed could I mill the pad 1 or 2mm post fitting and he said yes.
