Shifting Gravity Into Neutral

Hi all, I know this sounds like a really dumb question, but can someone tell me how to easily shift my Gravity GT into Neutral? I've managed to do it 2-3 times just by luck, but I've yet to figure out how to shift into Neutral when I'm in Park, in one simple movement.

This is what Google says:
Ensure the vehicle is stationary, press the brake pedal, and gently push the right-side gear stalk up (from Drive) or down (from Reverse) to the halfway point of resistance. Hold it there for about 1 second, and the "N" will appear on your cockpit panel. It's not working for me.

On my two previous Tesla (Model s and X) it was simple and intuitive. Am I missing something?

That is the correct method.

From the manual:

N (Neutral)​

This allows the vehicle to roll freely unless the brakes are applied.

To shift into Neutral while in Park, push the Drive Selector up or down to a halfway point of resistance, and hold it briefly. Release once the car shifts to Neutral.

To shift into Neutral while in Drive or Reverse, push and briefly hold the lever to a halfway point of resistance up from Drive or down from Reverse, then release to select N.

NOTE: If the vehicle’s electrical system is unresponsive, the operator will need to connect a 12V jump-start battery to the jump-start terminal to shift to Neutral.

I do it frequently in the car wash. When in drive, If you hold the shift lever up for about 2 seconds, it will go into neutral. Easiest way to time it is to watch the gear indicator on the clearview panel - you’ll see it go to neutral, release the lever.

I found the onscreen instructions to be incredibly unhelpful the first time I tried to shift it into neutral.

I tried this and it worked. Thank you. It's counter to what Lucid says to do.

The instructions I heard when I was shopping for the Gravity was "push back and up". In my mind, I envisioned a stick shift like position but I was wrong. When I finally pushed straight up and stopped just before the R detent, held it there for 2 seconds, viola, N every time.
