I’d say layoffs to the service department are starting to have an effect…

Beverly Hills is a no go. 2 plus months for any appointment and should you have to reschedule, you’re back at the bottom of a]the queue. A luxury auto manufacturer should provide a modicum of customer service including answering phones, and setting timely appointments. 2 months is wholly unacceptable and telling me “sure you can leave your car here on Friday, but there are 80 cars ahead of you and can take up to 6 weeks!” I’m exploring the new Mercedes CLA with autonomous driving, or a Lyriq V with blue cruise. I can’t imagine ever getting another Lucid even though I love the car.

The earliest appointment I could book on the Lucid app was all the way in mid-July.

I got the telephone number of a service adviser. He secured an appointment for me the following week. I thought I had really scored! I turned my car in a week ago Tuesday, and left with the assurance of another service adviser that my car would be needed for “a day or two”.

Today, my service advisor calls me and tells me that regrettably, my car hasn’t even been looked at yet. No tech has been assigned to my car, and it’s been sitting at the service center for a week.

My problem? One relatively straightforward to fix, I would think. The driver’s side window does not close all the way at the top, allowing a considerable amount of external noise to leak into the cabin. I thought I had left a window down or partially open.

The car in question is my Gravity GT.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if I'll have better luck driving out to visit family on the East Coast and just taking my car to the KoP location to get looked at.

Lucid is now using the “Runbuggy” app for car shipping, which looks like a Door Dash but for car shipping?

Anyways the shipper didn’t show up 😂

Neither me nor Lucid can catch a break I swear. We will try later!
This is the way of the world now for many kinds of shipping/trucking. A whole lot of independent drivers and a website for picking up jobs. Companies like having the trucks and the driver salaries/benefits off their books. A handfull of drivers seem to like it, but most think they're getting screwed, all while the industry complains about not enough people wanting to drive.

Uberization of shipping….

At least they picked up the phone so you could schedule something.

After creating a service request on Lucid's website in April for annual maintenance, and getting a call on May 20th from a mobile service technician, I finally got my service done today. Although it took about two months, It was very professional and pleasant experience.

Requested service through customer care exactly one week ago. Received email from customer care within minutes of that call stating the following:

"Your service request has been successfully submitted. We’ve shared all of your concerns with your Service Center, and their team will reach out as soon as they’re able. Thank you for your patience as they work through a higher volume of requests at this time."

Since then I haven't heard anything.

Which center?

So lucid decided to fire service and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for rentals while people wait for service? Great plan Marc!

i would guess its closer to millions.

I don't know who's decision it was. I think the biggest error was letting them sit in service for weeks at a time, allowing unknown amount of easy lemon law cases against them. I don't understand why they did that, but it seemed to be SOP for a while. Customers don't want it, I'm sure service didn't either.

Someone needs to be fired for this! I really want to know whose idea this was!

Self inflicted BS

Go talk to the SC people. They know the current practice is insane. When I was there 1-1/2 month ago, I told them the SC system of booking the appointments, giving the customer a loaner or an Enterprise rental, and my car just sat there for 2 weeks or more before they get to it is right out of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"!. The SC staff were polite and apologetic. Like the Lucid owners, the SC Staff are also victims of Lucid's corporate mis-management edict/practice.

I hope the new CEO takes some strong and visible actions to right the ship soon.
