How to get OTA updates

but this is exactly what Windows does on the update screen, then you press Check and find software waiting.

been a while for me as i have windows auto update on, but i rarely use that machine. however, I do believe it will show you all updates if you do check manually, so it makes it a different use case.

nonetheless i think comparison is comparing apples and oranges. even if an update is missed, one could find the updates, download and install them. i'm not a young pup anymore, but i don't ever recall being "out of warranty" and get stuck on a version. whether it was windows, linux etc, *I* always had a way to recover. I don't believe that to be the case here.

Historically, the white dot may very well have appeared on the pilot panel after the update had downoaded and was awaiting installation, as I would usually get the 'ready to install' notification in the middle of the night, and would start installation remotely via the app. HOWEVER, I am quite sure that when the white dot led me to the 'Logo Reset' page, it was awaiting my approval to DOWNLOAD... not just install. (Also, I have never just 'sat' on an update waiting to see if problems arose.)

Respectfully, no, this is the same issue.

Windows will cheerfully say "You Are Up to Date" and give today or yesterday's date (even with autoupdates on).
You click the "Check for Updates" and it will generally find new ones, irrespective of what it earlier said.

The relevance here is Lucid is saying "You Are Up to Date" when your vehicle may not be actually.

I think it is a residual message posted after the last update installation rather than an indicator of current status.

ok i'll leave this line of discussion after this post unless something else triggers a response.

so if you click Check for updates and it finds you new ones, then its a different issue right? There is no Check for updates option and even if there were the car doesn;t give it to us anyway. that makes it different. Also, OS'es generally dileneate system and optional updates.. but i'll pause here.
