Far from the mothership ... a cautionary tale

To close out the story my gravity was returned at 8:05 pm.
The frunk now works properly.
They did some fit and finish adjustments.
The second row seat recall repair was applied.
The primary reason it went back to SC was for failing to DC fast charge. The repair stated the following: "Removed rear diffuser. Upon removal, found the high voltage connector to the bottom of the RDU to be soft seated. Once the connector was reseated, verified alert was no longer present on the vehicle."
Oops someone failed to connect something.

Yes Runbuggy contacted me on the 6th but apparently was unable to get a truck in time
So did they ever contact you? I got a call from Runbuggy that they couldn’t find anyone to haul a car from Idaho to California “but we have it on our marketplace”

But then I got a call saying they had a taker and it would tomorrow so I changed my schedule, and now nobody is confirming 🤷

After I raised the issue with Lucid and Runbuggy I got a call from Run Buggy probably because Lucid escalated. Nice lady saying they were working issue. Then I think Lucid gave up or widened search and went with another carrier. So I assumed they canceled Run Buggy.

….guess I’ll find out if someone comes and gets the car tomorrow

They have mine right now for the "Will not charge" issue. I've only seen a few cases listed on here, FB and Reddit and SC guys said it's pretty rare. It sucks because the issue is just a crimped or disconnected ethernet cable, but it's in a hard to fix area so it's about 2 days to disassemble and reassemble everything and QC. it's rare enough, that the replacement cable section of the wire harness isn't really a "part" sitting on the shelf to order.

I'm on a cross country road trip and so far, Lucid has been absolutely STELLAR in understanding my case is different and cannot wait around in hotels for 3 weeks while they repair. They have bent over backwards, so far, to accommodate me in Seattle. Hopefully I'm back on the road in about 5 days...which is what they're aiming for. But I couldn't have asked for more understanding people...they've been fantastic.

Glad you got yours back and hopefully don't see this error again. (Try going x-country getting this error nearly daily...a LOT of stress. Excited to fix.)

They did not replace my cable. Just "reseated it" i.e. plugged it back in. So it waited in AZ two weeks, not for parts but due to backlog of work.

Seattle is a very nice shop, but make sure they put your car back together right. Mine had some issues.

That does seem like a long time but glad you don't have to wait for a specialized part to be made to fix it.

@Sapper ypu are a gentleman! You are a good
Dude!

Wish you lived here in Phoenix… I would buy you a drink!

Your original post was articulate and filled
With grace…

Just wanted to state that. And wanted to say glad
