Got car 31 Dec at 3pm ... delivered from AZ on enclosed trailer.
Ordered bronze and fully equipped 5 seater hoping the later I got it the more bugs would be resolved. Knew being far from service center was a risk.
Car was fine, a few fit and finish issues which I reported to SA. Got a call a week later from Service Center in Scottsdale, they would schedule a mobile tech at some point. Then crickets. Car drove fine. No major issues. Yes the frunk does not open first try, and I hate the cut off corners on mirror image, etc. but otherwise all ok.
Then I started getting the error message "Charging unavailable: Contact customer service". But nothing bad happened. I have an Autel 50 amp charger in my garage and car charged no problem. I posted, no one else really had same problem. I also read in the notes for 3.41 that this error message was supposed to be fixed. Note there is no error message identical in the owners manual ... There is DC Fast Charging Unavailable.
Anyway time passed and finally SC and I agreed to take it to a DC fast charger and see what happens. Tried 3 different ones ... nada. Would not charge.
So on the 16th of April, my car with all of 704 miles on it was picked up an shipped to AZ. After two weeks of sitting, they got to it and did some stuff ... what little I learned was that there was a connection or something in the back that was not fastened properly (manufacturing issue?). Another irony, I saw they had to drive the car to local store with a DC fast charger and plug it in to see if it charged ... I got billed $20 on my card for that. How a car can leave the factory without that being tested or found is confusing to me. How do they charge cars there, all AC?
Anyway on the 6th of May they ordered a truck to return my gravity ... still no truck as of this writing.
The irony is I just ordered a truck to take my older Acura (which needed a few very minor repairs in 11 years) to St Louis. It comes tomorrow. So I will be without a car ... not the end of the world I have an ebike. But I can get a truck faster than Lucid. I am slightly annoyed.
So what happens when I need a annual service? Oh, and there is no mobile tech for this area and my understanding is that a mobile tech cannot do the full annual service per the SC.
So I just fired up SC and Runbuggy and everyone is actively trying to get me transportation ...
So I knew the risk. I was in the Army for 29 years so not much bothers me, but if you are far from the mothership this is your warning
