Parking Assist Issue - Not differentiating cement parking blocks vs the curb/sidewalk beyond the block.

Needs to measure the distance to the block not the sidewalk, to prevent damage. I pulled up and was watching the distance in inches and even though I was 24" to the block, it reverted to the sidewalk distance. If I hadn't been paying attention it would have hit the (ignored) parking block.

It can clear a parking block, but yeah, if you go too far it can rip off the airfoils in the front (which are only there for efficiency, not safety, and a cheap part to replace)

I think that distance is measured using the car's ultrasound sensors.
The parking block in the picture wouldn't reflect an ultrasound signal back to the sensors. The signal would mostly bounce off the block vertically.
Have to use your eyes instead in this case.
