Head of Growth Marketing Departure

Marketing these vehicle should not be difficult. Stupid range, fast af, absurd amount of space. luxury touches/features and runs on electricity when gas is over $4 nationally. The proposition is great. How have they struggled to convey these to the general public?
In my opinion, they haven’t communicated with the general public. If I weren’t a car enthusiast, I wouldn’t know the company exists.

We’ve all had that moment with the general public -

“Wow, that is a cool car! What is it?”

A Lucid

“Who makes it”

That’s the name of the car company.

“Where’s it made?”

Arizona

“What’s the name again?”

You missed the best one. "Is it Chinese?"

But agreed. I had the same conversations when I had my Rivian.

The problem with ordering pages is beyond that. People using those pages know that the car exists and are interested in pricing it out, window shopping. If the web site does not provide basic equipment lists for each trim level, cost for each option and information on what is included in each option package you are placing a barrier to potential customers shopping from home.

I just had this same conversation 10min ago.

Hopefully they can reset.

They got all those awards that no one knows about. Diffuser in the air starts behind the front door, differential is tiny ….why don’t they advertise these geek stuff and make them cool instead of showing rich people skiing?

Want the most advanced vehicle in the world, buy a Lucid……simple

They need to work on quality control and brand recognition. Nobody cares how small the differential is, but they do care when the door doesn't unlock.

It’s definitely an enthusiast car. Nothing justifies the price besides its performance.
I don't agree. The interior space, particularly for the Gravity, is amazing. Getting that kind of passenger and cargo space while still having a reasonably sized vehicle is a big draw for me.

It literally every other feature is subpar compared to equal priced competitors

I see a sentiment that Lucid's marketing is bad, and they've failed on brand awareness. But is that really true? The Air is selling better than anything else in its segment. The Gravity sales are harder to assess, since it's both new and going through various kinds of launch pains. But I think it has potential to sell quite well also. So maybe someone shopping for a $50K vehicle doesn't have good brand awareness, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for a company that has had no products to sell to that niche.

My thoughts also. The Engineers and Thinkers car.

Because the market they're trying to attract doesn't give a damn about that. While many of us can appreciate the engineering the customers Lucid are trying to attract simply don't care about that stuff

I think there are several groups that would be interested in the gravity and different ads and marketing for each, but the stealing the alien tech gravity ad is not for any target demographic I can think of that would want this car, date night for conspiracy theorists???

That is simply untrue. There are dozens of example for which that’s not true. Performance, space, range, suspension…

Subjective but I think it’s true. Except where performance comes into play. Not luxury. You’re right on performance.
