I suspect our Lucid Owners Forum represents only a small fraction of Lucid owners. So it's difficult to extrapolate the overall positives and negatives from Lucid owners. With that said: There are two threads. The car itself and the company responsible for the car. Most of the people on the forum are reasonably satisfied (and many are thrilled) with their Lucid Airs. The Gravity seems to have some issues at the moment. As I've previously stated, my Air Touring has caused me very few problems and I've been satisfied with the service I've received. However, to read the posts on this forum, I am terrified to continue owning a Lucid.
Service centers are few and far between and it seems from recent posts, most of them are in decline. Spare parts are scarce. Other than body work, no other non-Lucid service facility can fix a Lucid. That to me is scary. What's really alarming is being told to leave your car with the service center for two or more weeks until parts arrive or until they have technician time to work on your car. With all the previous cars I've owned, I phone the dealer who gives me an appointment within a week. If the car needs a part that's not safety related, they order the part and send me home. When it arrives they phone me to bring in the car. Unless there is a safety issue there's absolutely no reason for service to impound a car awaiting a part or minor adjustment.
I haven't been to the Goose Island, Chicago service center in almost a year, but I noticed during my last visit the place was a ghost town. One guy out front and maybe three techs working in the back. Some were prepping deliveries. I used to know the names (and cell phone numbers) of the very helpful service managers, but all are gone.
The stress of owning a car that could take three months to repair (and not from a major accident) is more than I can handle. The Air is a great vehicle. But I've never owned a car that stressed me out like this. Lucid and I will soon part.
