New Bugs Since 3.5.1

I've seen this a few times too

Lucid had me send them the log from my mobile app of the incident with our other Gravity a couple of weeks ago, so maybe it's an issue they can chase to ground.

Epilog to the above story:

My partner had taken the older Gravity while we were out in the newer one. He just got home, and I asked if that car had any problems today. He said nothing except that he got an alert on the mobile app that the car was unlocked. So he went out to check and found it locked. (The same thing happened to our newer Gravity a couple of weeks ago while we were at a restaurant, suggesting that it's yet another software issue instead of a mechanical issue with the cars.)
In my experience, sometimes the car is not locked at first, so you get the app alert, but then eventually it figures it out and locks the car. This exact thing happened to me last night. I got home, plugged in, and 5 minutes later I noticed the lights were still on and charging animations going. I thought “I think those should be off by now” and saw my phone had the alert. I couldn’t deal with it immediately, but about a minute later I went to use the app to lock, but the icon showed it was locked already, which I was able to verify by looking out the window to see the lights had finally turned off.

The key was not in my pocket and moving past the car at all during any of this time.

as I walked away I heard a woman calling to me. She ran up to me to say that the car looked gorgeous and to ask if she could check it out. She said she and her husband have been anxiously waiting to get over to Miami to test drive one, as they were hoping to replace their Range Rover with it once it was off lease. This was the first one she saw in the flesh, so I offered to open it up so she could check it out.

Big mistake, as I could not get the doors to open with the fob. So I had to fish out the key card in front of her. She effused over the interior, even noticing how wide the doors opened. She asked how we liked it, and I told her we were an all-Lucid household with an Air and two Gravities. When she asked if we'd had any problems with it, I said only that the software was still a bit buggy but that Lucid was working on it. I did not tell her that our other Gravity has had to have a new front drive unit, a new HUD unit, and a new steering wheel, as I feel those were early production issues that won't likely show up in current production cars.

We headed off to the store, still chatting with each other, and I forgot to lock the car with the fob. When I finished shopping and went back to the car, I found it still unlocked.
You are very kind to Lucid. When people ask me, I tell them everything. You can guess what my answer is when they ask if I would recommend buying one

I have had similar experiences, too. The worrisome thing to me is that it's both new behavior and erratic behavior. In the incident today with the newer Gravity, I was in the grocery store a considerable time, going around the entire store, filling up a shopping cart, and checking out. And I came out to find the car still unlocked. (It was the older Gravity that was displaying the message on the app. I did not happen to check the app on the newer Gravity during this episode.)

It's just another of the ever-widening array of new software issues that have been showing up in both our Gravities and coming and going randomly, sometimes in one car but not in the other, and then days later showing up in the other car. It's the lack of predictability and not knowing what steps I need to take with what car to either drive it or park it that is a good part of what's driving me crazy about these two cars.

A known, consistent software bug is one thing to deal with. A spinning roulette wheel of bugs is another thing entirely.

Lol 😆. Should be displaying clean UI, not jumbled up like it's doing. That's all I'm saying and wanted to know if it's an isolated issue of other have it too.

This was not the first car I drove and all my cars did display a clean UI. Do not see anything obvious to have overlapping icons. This looks software issue wherein icons not postined in proper location ( proper alignment). Having 2 reject icon (red) and 2 answer icon (green) does not look clean or clear to me as a UI. It's not obvious which icon belong to the first call and which one is associated with the second call. I respectfully disagree.

Umm...no offense and not sure if you're an iPhone user or not, but the doubled up "overlapping icons" are intentional and appear exactly like that on an iPhone when you're on the phone and get another incoming call
So... to me as well, this does not seem like "jumbled up" or unclean UI

just sayin'

I have had similar experiences, too.

It just occurred to me that the incident I had with the mobile app a couple of weeks ago was a false alert that the car was in reverse gear, not an "unlocked" alert. Sorry . . . we have such a constant drumbeat of malfunctions that I sometimes forget which one occurred in which car.

(I'm actually using this forum as my log of incidents in case I ever need to refer to them, which is why I post pretty much everything. I could keep a separate private log, but I'm on the forum, anyway, and there's just so much administrative effort I'm going to dedicate to trying to get these cars to operate correctly.

my complaint is that when connected to gravity, the phone audio was supposed to have been improved whereas I believe mine has become worse. I now routinely disconnect from gravity and use speakerphone to use my phone in the car.

Agree. I felt like it got better for a bit but it’s unusable now. Nobody I talk to can hear me unless I shout. And text dictations into my phone are horrific.

oh same here. doesnt help that its parked in front of my house for weeks with the roof bow and trunk trim held on with masking tape waiting for yet another tow truck. My neighbor just added a Rivian to his electric fleet and stopped by to asked why my POS Lucid was still sitting there.

People may recall from my original thread that I was late to an MLB game with a bunch of insurance company leaders because Lucid shit the bed on my first delivery. Now its a joke around the place how bad Lucid is. People went from excitement to meh real quick.

When my brother and his spouse visit they sometimes go out with their own friends from when they used to live here in Florida, and they like to take a larger car. I used to just give them the keys for the Honda Odyssey, and off they would go. As the Honda is now gone, today they wanted to take one of the Gravities.

It was quite a departure ceremony. I had to give them a key card as well as the fob and show them how to use the card to open the car and then to start it (as sometimes it will start without the card, and sometimes it won't.) I had to give them a note with the PIN code, as sometimes the car will ask for that if you use the key card, and sometimes it won't. I had to instruct them on how to do a reboot in case the screens malfunctioned as they did yesterday. They were also going to an outlet mall, and I had to instruct them what to do if the rear hatch refused to latch or seized while opening. I told them to ignore the VIBE lighting if it malfunctioned, as a reboot doesn't fix that, anyway.

Lord, there are days I miss the Honda.

A few new oddball ones. The drivers side window only goes up 1/2 way when I hit the lift button. I have to hold the button for it to go all the way up, and then it Jay drop by itself to half way. This happens about once every 4 day or so. Also drivers door sometimes doesn’t catch soft close, just springs open when I try to close occasionally.

I read in one of the threads on here there's a way to reset the window regulator but I forget how. It's probably somewhere in the manual.
Anyone on here know how to reset it?

..might be worth a shot to try that before having Service replace it (especially with how backed up they probably are w/ the seatbelt welding recall).

For the last ten days, I've consistently seen the Drive System Warning and the yellow/orange triangle.
I called Lucid and was told it's ok to drive the car until the first available appointment on June 11.
Has anyone driven the Gravity for 2 months with this warning?
Hope I won't be stranded.
Also, in my Gravity, I choose Adaptive Cruise as the default and whenever I activate by pressing the icon on the lower right, the car will automatically assume the speed the car is at.
According to the manual, I would have to press the center of the touchpad to select the speed, i.e., a 2-step process, activate first and then choose the speed.
I asked the service center and was told the manual was not correct.
Is this one step or two in your Gravity?
Thanks.

One step for me also.

Thanks for confirming.
So this different than in the Air, and Lucid needs to update the manual accordingly.
Surprised that the manual master borski hasn't informed us

June 11th???? Wow!

June 11th???? Wow!
Yeah, this is a bit too long for my comfort.
Was never like this pre-Gravity, or with any other cars I've owned.

Are you still getting this? I picked up my gravity yesterday and got it as soon as I got home. I texted the guy who helped with my delivery and he said it might just go away.
