However, if this is true, then why when my battery is charged to 100% does the miles remaining only say 370 miles, and not start with the EPA estimate of 394 miles?
This is due to a setting. On my GDE under “General -> units,” selecting “rated” changes the relevant numbers from “dynamic” to the EPA range in all the displays.
I recently hit the “info” button for the range units and it’s useful - it shows real world vs EPA.
My dynamic range, based on recent driving, is roughly 80% of EPA. I’ve been fluctuating between 80% - 90% when I’m in “road-trip” mode (vs “fun” mode). I’m still in the battery break-in period with reduced efficiency. It’s interesting that EPA is 420 miles (231/0.55); I thought EPA was 410 miles for my configuration (DE, 7-seater, 20/21 wheels).
