As I recall, Tesla's red light detection took well over a year. Steps, each with a new OTA:
1. 2019 had a chime when approaching a light but took no action.
2. April 2020 - stop at all lights, green or red. Continue normally if driver tapped the accelerator or acknowledged the warning, and light is green. Included blinking yellow.
3. Sometimes in 2021 - FSD decides green, yellow, red light actions. And it's been a work-in-process ever since. It's a significant challenge to them to this day.
And to me that imolies city street lane centering is functiinal. Don't expect miracles. That's 2 full years from release 1 to something functional only 98% of the time. Hope Lucid does better.
