If I was an investor, I'd be extremely pissed off that Lucid is deliberately targeting a smaller market with their first mass market offering. Their investor day presentation (and Kyle from OOS) have made it clear that the Cosmos is a sleeker, less boxy, "SUV".
Sales figures for car companies with a similar split between a fastback and traditional SUV using the same platform show that the traditional model outsells the fastback version by multiple times. See the BMW X3/X4, Audi Q5/sport whatever, Mercedes whatevers.
And, of course, the most damning evidence is that mainstream brands don't even bother with this type of body style. The closest thing might be the Toyota Crown Signia but that's not Toyota's volume seller.
I would love to ask Lucid's product planners why they decided to launch this trio of products in this order.
