Supply chain again? How long are they going to use that as an excuse? I’ve been hearing this reason since 2021…..

3093 deliveries is horrendous!

They have already changed management significantly , what else can they do? Why do they mismanage all the time. Cars are great….but the C-suite is a disaster!

This time we knew it was about the 2nd row seat issue, at least they did the right thing delaying the cars going out with a defect rather than selling them and fixing them later. But yes quality control and supply chain management is a weak spot for sure....

Gravity launch disaster, huge recall, stop sale due to parts failure disguised as a model year change, HUD sucks, key fobs that don’t work, giving a broken Gravity to Consumer Reports, horrific quality control procedures, website sucks, it’s just not a good look. 🤷

It looks like a company in turmoil, which it is. They might pull out okay though. The first Teslas were shit too.

Analysts have not changed their outlook to be worse, so that’s a good sign.

Hope its not because of holiday 😜

Without the PIF they would have been Fisker 2.0 by now.

They should be on top of their supply chain to make sure these issues don’t happen. They keep messing up themselves. It’s bad enough that Trump hates EVs. Looks more like they will mess up midsize release, as usual !

Saving grace is the World Luxury Car if the Year. Hopefully they have finally fixed all issues and can move forwards. I’m just surprised sales that low even with a 1 month stoppage. Expected 4k. Air sales seems to be drying up as Gravity eats some.

They couldn’t have been Fisker because Fisker had no useful or novel technology.

Fundamentally, they are very different.

All the news outlets I read weekly are running stories about high gas prices and electric vehicles being a salve. I’d be surprised if their sales aren’t buoyed by this situation. Fingers crossed.

I read that as pointing to a supplier (Camao) making an unauthorized change. Exactly what happened. You can't ship vehicles without the second row. Assembly line stoppages are HUGE - it affects everything - paint shop, sub-assembly, parts storage, other supplier just-in-time production and deliveries - any car company will do almost anything to keep the line moving and repair later. We will see where they are after second quarter results are out.

2027 product offering, especially when "Prestige Package" is offered, will make the sequencing and assembly process much simpler for Lucid to produce a Gravity. No more Dream Editions (total bummer, since I would love to have that in my 2029 Gravity, which I will buy instead of lease, because, remember, I'll be at an age where it will be my last car. 🤣 ).

These have been some well thought out changes that aren't always evident to the consumer - but will improve the ownership experience for future customers.

And, like it or not, we have been the ones teaching Lucid how to do things right and we are certainly verbal when they do something wrong. That is what early adopters do - for better or for worse - but I'm glad to have gone into the process with eyes wide open.

Dream Ahead!

I think most references to Fisker relate to their going out of business, rather than any perceived similarities to products. Henry Fisker was a design guy - Rawlinson was an engineer.

I don't even think second quarter will be a "full quarter" because they're probably going to have some time down for retooling. If they decide to make hardware updates to the air this year, we'll hear the same thing for Q3.

Maybe Q4 will be telling....... 🤦‍♂️

Shoot, you go away for a couple days and miss everything. What retooling? Damn, I hate missing shit!

Taken on face value, this seems to suggest the demand is there but throttled in Q1 by supplier snafu, correct? Furthermore, Lucid is not cutting full-year 2026 shipment projection.
This seems quite optimistic in light of the slow start and slowing economy.

Assuming it is all true, the question remains how Lucid is going to improve its supplier management. My experience is, managing supplier is incumbent on the integrator (Lucid). This is not an explanation/excuse that can be used too often!

I’m aware. Part of why Fisker went out of business rather than being acquired by someone, though, is the lack of novel technology worth acquiring. That’s my point.

The solar roof was really cool it just didnt work
That sure was a feature that literally any engineer who thought about it for 30 seconds could tell you was bound to be too inefficient to make an iota of difference.
