Lucid Investor Day - March 12, 2026

Lucid how low you want to go
I seriously doubt they "want" the stock price to be low.

It's not like they can just pick a price and set the stock there. Investors determine the stock price.

Seems investors day is huge success for short sellers, stock just hit another 52 week low. Dont know when will Lucid stop surprising us 😂.
Its literally 91 cents pre split and seems Lucid wants the stock to be low. Lucid how low you want to go
Yikes...good thing I leased!

Although, those of you that bought in higher this might be a good opportunity for some serious dollar cost averaging??

This seems backwards to me. Consumer autonomy should be easier than driverless autonomy. A consumer autonomy system can simply ask the driver to figure it out when things get confusing. I suppose some people want full L4 so they can sleep or drink or make whoopie, but won’t most of us be willing to become the “outside expert“ when needed? My impression is that Waymo‘s “phone home“ fallback is not about split second decisions, but edge case uncertainty about some situation (with a pause in proceeding if needed) so an onboard human, even when not paying attention, should be able to respond in a similar way as the remote Waymo operators.
Autonomy certainly means different things to different people. Your scenario is certainly a plausible one. I was thinking about things like being able to put a blind relative into the car and have them driven somewhere.

I'm four dollar cost averages in already. 😅

I didn't buy when it was really high though, so I'm not nearly as underwater as most. I started at about $2 ($20 post-split). My average is about $17.

Right, two different kinds of "self driving". In my opinion, the scenario you mention will require a remote monitoring organization like Waymo's for a long time.
The type of "self driving" where someone in the car can bail the car out as needed will happen much sooner.

I bought the cars instead of the stock (I bought the stock high, but in small amounts, and a bit more at 'medium'). Otherwise, I've been much more thrilled with the cars than the stock.

(Also, the entire market is down)
(Also, I still maintain LCID going public was a mistake, and that they got caught up in the hubbub of SPACs in the pandemic, and while hindsight is 20/20, there is a reason most companies stay private for so much longer nowadays. Public investors are fickle and want short-term returns, and there aren't really two ways about that. It's the same reason SpaceX is definitely not playing games on Nasdaq or anything, just before their IPO in June 🤬)
