Just got my car back after 6 weeks and another new roof…
Fresh off the truck!
Fresh off the truck!
Apparently not very well
Does it… clip back in? lol
Wow
Obviously there's a lot about Lucid that you've been venting about in the forum. Now that they've failed to repair your vehicle and gone well over the 30 days lemon law threshold, are you planning to force them to take it back? Or give them another chance?Just got my car back after 6 weeks and another new roof…

Oh they are not at all willing to do that. This was their last chance, they’re even over 60 days now. Or you could try the BBB autoline. This is the avenue we went through to lemon my wife's Genesis GV60.Oh they are not at all willing to do that. This was their last chance, they’re even over 60 days now. And this is how I got the car back.
They are not willing to honor buyback provisions. I will have to hire someone to fight them.
Lucid is just exhausting, imagine all I went through, all the delays, all the assurances of finally a quality repair, and the second I get in the car and look up, the headliner is hanging by a wire.Or you could try the BBB autoline. BBB auto line would also be my recommendation if that’s the path you choose to pursue.Or you could try the BBB autoline. This is the avenue we went through to lemon my wife's Genesis GV60.
That’s the route I took with the lotus. Took about 6 months from start to finish but lotus drug their feet quite a bit. The only thing I will note is that BBB will not allow you to charge the manufacturer for attorney fees. I fought it myself against lotus attorneys and still was successful but most attorneys won’t take the case if BBB is involved for that reason. That and it’s not a quick process.BBB auto line would also be my recommendation if that’s the path you choose to pursue.
If you didn’t opt out of arbitration within 60 days, Lucid (and every other car company on the planet) would force arbitration regardless. That’s the route I took with the lotus. Yeah, I'm assuming you'll have to force them. Although you never know, once you've gotten to the point that you're talking to a Lucid attorney instead of a customer service rep, you might find that they see no point to spending money on litigation it seems very clear they'll lose. Returning your Air back so obviously in broken condition would seem to indicate that someone in your local service center just doesn't give a damn about keeping the company out of court.Oh they are not at all willing to do that. Yeah, you definitely have had some bad service experience. This has literally never happened on mine, in over four years.Go to wash some bird shit off and our good friend peeling roof bow is back. I’m going to guess they hired the same body shop as last time, where the bow peeled off in the exact same spot as soon as it got hot (hit 80 degrees here)

To be fair the new glass roof is fineYeah, you definitely have had some bad service experience. This has literally never happened on mine, in over four years.
But my roof is also intact
(Also, the service center handles the cantrails/bow, they do not outsource it to a body shop)
I hear ya. CA has been quite hot at times over the four years, and I’ve had my roof (and thus, cantrails/bow) replaced twice (once my fault, once theirs) and have never had the issue. That said, I suspect they let it cure at the service center before getting it to me.To be fair the new glass roof is fine
I used to work with adhesives a long time ago and there’s so many ways for it to go wrong. Gluing to glass is also very complicated. I will admit I was kinda shocked but, idk. It’s been much hotter here than Seattle so maybe the glue just hadn’t cured or something idk. It could have been either the roof adhesives shrinking some more that then popped the edge of the bow, or something totally different. I am skeptical of that particular service centers techs, though, due to, well, you’ve seen my old threads. But it’s impossible to say why, it could really just be that they’re new and there’s nothing more to it than new employee mistakes.
I’m debating on even having it sent back to the SC since it’s going to be a buyback anyways. Why waste more of their time when people who don’t have lemons are trying to get their problems fixed too? At the same time, I’m still paying for it and love driving the car. Never had a single issue with the way it drives. I’m not even mad I’m just disappointed![]()
idk about the laws there, but here in the USA they are very clear cut. What kind of issues are you running into?I'm currently in arbitration for my own buyback on my '24 Air. Lucid corporate has been extremely dishonest and bad-faithy in their arguments, changing their tune every time and basically insulting the arbitrator and I'd intelligence during each call. I'm in Canada, but I imagine the process is similar where you are. Good luck.
Maybe the see your posts on this forum….Lucid is just exhausting, imagine all I went through, all the delays, all the assurances of finally a quality repair, and the second I get in the car and look up, the headliner is hanging by a wire.
And it had bird shit all down the drivers side and window. Maybe they’re mad at me?
I’ll have to pace myself or get a third party.
