Gravity leaking ATF from front motor

My 3 day old Gravity with 247 miles on it is seriously leaking ATF from the front motor. It was towed to service last week, and they still have not looked at it. The Service Advisor claims that they have not seen this problem before, but yesterday a post was made on the Air side of this forum asking about red fluid leaking from his Air after 70,000+ miles. In that same post, he mentions his Gravity with 2500 miles on it is also dripping red fluid. That makes me wonder if this is really a one-off problem. Gravity owners might want to take a look under their cars. I am attaching pictures to show the problem. Two show the leakage. The one with the white spots shows oil stain remover on all of the drips that fell from the car. The front leak blew back under the car at highway speeds, so the whole bottom of the car is covered in ATF... hence all of the additional drips.
I'm supposed to get an update today, but I'm not holding my breath...

I’ve heard of this happening (very rarely) on the Air, but have never before heard of it on Gravity before your post.

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, of course, but that’s my current knowledge.

Hope it’s an easy fix for you. Related - what happens now with those white spots - does it dry up so you can sweep it all up or does it stain the concrete white?

I hope you are right. As bad as it is leaking, it should be easy to find. Hopefully something simple...

Instructions say to use a stiff bristle garage broom and simply sweep it away. It takes a little effort to break up the hard residue into powder, but that's what I did and all the oil spots are pretty well gone. A bit of white residue left, but I'm sure over time that will wear away.

Update: I talked to the service center this afternoon. They have looked at it and verify that there is a big leak. It is a problem that they have never seen before, going so far as to get engineering involved, who describe it as 'complex' and unique to my car. Bottom line... they are replacing the front drive unit. Hopefully i will have it back by the end of next week.

Update: I talked to the service center this afternoon. They have looked at it and verify that there is a big leak. It is a problem that they have never seen before, going so far as to get engineering involved, who describe it as 'complex' and unique to my car. Bottom line... they are replacing the front drive unit. Hopefully i will have it back by the end of next week.

I hope they effect the same fix in both my mid-2022 Air and my brand new Gravity. Air GTs built before 2024 such as mine, have a distinct Jetsons-like electric motor whine when accelerating from a stand still or from low speed. The whine eventually gets drowned out by other ambient noise. It's a trademark of the early build twin motor GTs. I understand it emanates from the from front drive unit.

If the techs here in San Diego also decide to replace the front drive unit on my Air, I hope they install one of the newer, quieter ones.

I understand that the whine comes from the isolation between the motor and the car. I don't think it is possible to use the new motor mounts on the older Airs. I hope that they can but I would be surprised if the motor whine changed after service.

It only took Scottsdale two days to change a front drive unit on my Air a few years ago so here is to hoping the Gravity is just as fast and you get it back soon.

This is correct. It’s the motor mount. The motor is unchanged.
