Took a picture of this small puddle that formed under my Air GT some time today, I think. It’s red and viscous to the touch.

Does anybody know what it is?

It sounds like the coolant that is used throughout the Lucid. I would contact service about this.

Thanks so much. I’ll definitely contact Lucid Service. Unfortunately it will have to wait until next week. I’ve got to drive this car to work tonight, a distance of 140 miles.

UPDATE/EDIT/ADDENDUM:

This is my second time trying to post this, the website somehow deleted my first post before I was even able to complete posting it.

So it’s been a banner week with my Lucids. My Air was transported via flatbed tow truck to my local service centre, where it has languished unattended since Monday morning. I was warned by Lucid Service that they were quite “backed up” and that it would take “a while’ before my car could be seen.

This morning, I pulled my Gravity GT out onto my driveway, the first time I had moved the car since Sunday evening. Lo and behold, what did I find, the same red viscous fluid leaking from the front axle area. I’m noticing that the red fluid is leaking out a faster rate in my Gravity than it was out of my Air.

My Gravity GT is being picked up first thing tomorrow morning. In the meantime, with our local service centre under-manned and overwhelmed, I expect our household to remain Lucid-less indefinitely. Or at least for an indeterminate time.

I’m quite bummed. What a thing for 72K mile-on the-odomoter Air and a 2,500 miles Gravity to have in common, and simultaneously too.

At least you got some miles on your cars. At 247 miles, three days after taking delivery, I had quite the mess under my Gravity. The red fluid is ATF (Automatic transmission fluid) which is what they use as lubricant and coolant. Towed to service center last week, and they still have not looked at it...
You can see the red drops hanging off of the bottom of the car...

Does this flulid have a sewer like odor. My 2023 AT has been parked in my garage since Saturday and we are out of town until June 20.. Today, some friends that were checking our mail said that there was sewer odor in the garage. The Lucid is the only thing new in the garage.

It is automatic transmission fluid. It has a distinct smell, but it is very faint and I would never describe it as a sawer smell. If you are talking a few drops, it's unlikely you would even notice it.

BTW... the problem I reported earlier in this post was completely fixed at the SC. It was a damaged fitting. 2000+ miles later and it is solid.

Did someone say "COMPROMISE NOTHING"

Neither.

I’ve been too embarrassed to tell everyone that I was in error, reporting a leak coming from under my Lucid Air. No leak was detected coming from my Lucid Air, I had just parked it in the same spot as where the Gravity was parked the night before.

The fluid leak coming from the Gravity was oil seeping out of a failed seal in the front drive unit. From what I remember from reading the paperwork afterwards, the faulty seal was replaced, and not the whole FDU.

I got my Lucid Air back three days after it was flat-bedded away from me, I got my Gravity back twenty-one days after it was flat-bedded away from me.

Addendum - It was a “ferrule” seal that failed, on the Gravity FDU.

'Found source of odor, a baggie of formerly frozen chicken breasts that had been sitting on top of the garage refrigerator since Tuesday, April 28, 5 days before the odor appeared.
