Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for Gravity *finally* rolling out

lol at “Finally”. Compared to Air, Gravity got CarPlay just after launch.

First Gravity deliveries started middle of last year. I've had the car for almost half a year now. CarPlay + Android Auto was advertised to be available indeed at launch, which was nearly a year ago. Tens of thousands of Gravity owners have been pissed off and frustrated and we felt mislead - it's all over the internet, including Lucid forums, Reddit threads, etc. Your "just after launch" definition is uninformed and misguided.

Given that Carplay was introduced to the Air 2 years and 4 months after launch and Android Auto was introduced to the Air 4yr and 7 months after launch. By comparison, Gravity is a lot faster. It is not very nice to call someone's post uninformed and misguided without knowing the facts the @joec speaks correctly of.

Since tens of thousand Gravity have not been delivered, I find it very unlikely that tens of thousands Gravity owners are pissed.

Maybe if you count the primary owners, their spouses/significant others, their children, their neighbors, and their 1st grade teachers? 😆

The only sales figures Lucid ever gave said “well in to three digits”

I’m more pissed I only got 1 key fob with a $100k + vehicle. Nothing exemplifies luxury like walking up to your car and fumbling to get the cheap plastic keycard out, awkwardly holding it on the B pillar until it unlocks. Compromise Nothing…..🙃

You'll never use your fob after digital key is introduced. Be patient. My two Air fobs have been sitting in a drawer for months.

In Q4 2025 alone Lucid produced more than 8400 Gravities - those are official stats. Look it up. The logic of your comments about how long Air owners waited for CarPlay & AA and that's why timing of the release for Gravity is OK in comparison is deeply, deeply flawed. First, Air was released like what? Almost a decade before Gravity? CarPlay & AA where nowhere near as developed or common technologies back then than they are now, so you can't apply the same standards of how fast a vehicle got certain software tech a decade ago vs nowadays. Second, if I'm a college student and an average grade on an exam of a certain course I was enrolled in was 27 out 100 because of particularly tough exam, and my grade was 35 - it does not mean I did well on the exam. 2.5 year - 4.5 year range of wait for CarPlay & AA for Lucid Air after vehicle release does not mean 10 months wait for Gravity owners is "just after launch", when it was promised by Lucid to have the software available at launch....It just makes it "less bad" of a missed delivery commitment than Air. I assure you for Gravity owners, who got their cars last summer (or even for me, who got mine back in November) tomorrow's release does NOT feel "just after launch". I've had it available on my previous, non-Lucid vehicle for a very long time, and it's been sorely missing feature every single day I drive my car.

Let's at least stick to the following facts:
1. The first Lucid Airs were officially delivered to customers on October 31, 2021. That's about 4 1/2 years ago, 3 before the Gravity (first deliveries in late December 2024). Not even close to "almost a decade"
2. CarPlay and AA were released in 2014. All the mainstream manufacturers included CarPlay in their 2016 and 2017 model years (except Toyota who held out for an extra year). That's about 10 years ago. So I'd say that technology was well developed by the time the Air came out.
3. A 35 on an exam where the average was 27 (assuming a standard bell curve) would put you in the 84th percentile, 1 standard deviation above the mean. That's a high B or low A. Well done!

Facts aside, CarPlay and AA are here now. Enjoy. Why people have to try to find the negative in a positive situation is beyond me. Life is too short.

That’s simply is not true. You made that up. CarPlay, with few exceptions, is almost the same today as it was then, Ultra notwithstanding, which doesn’t apply as it doesn’t exist on Gravity (or most vehicles).

In the 4q25 Lucid produced 7874 vehicles (revised 2/24/26 numbers) but only delvered 5345 to customers. In the 3q25 Lucid produced 3591 and delivered 4078. In 2q25 Lucid produced 3863 and delvered 3309.
These were we a mix of Gravities and Air. With few Gravity deliveries in 2q25 total deliveries in 3rd and 4th quarters are 9423. Even assuming a generous 3:1 Gravity:Air thats only 7092 Gravitys (2331 Air deliveries). Hardly 10s of thousands of Gravitys delivered.
Yes I've left out those delivered in 1q26, if they match 4q25 that would be another 4012 Gravitys (again assuming a generous 3:1 sales ratio) for a total 1104. Again hardly 10s of thousands.

I can't have everything... I have been a big user of CarPlay since introduction, so am very happy it is coming. However, I have become a big fan of changing the right side of the Clearview panel with the right steering wheel button and especially using Lucid's beautiful map across the right side. The way it blends into the background is fabulous! I'll miss it, presuming CarPlay requires its typical display as above.

We just can't have everything we want....

I’m a gravity GT owner and the last thing I am is disappointed or pissed off, I absolutely love everything about my car. It feels like no other, it’s unworldly and it’s dynamics and feel and SiriusXM has been perfectly adequate waiting for CarPlay, which I am very glad now is available with all of the technology and engineering involved in this car. I’m really surprised people knit pit at minor inconveniences this is a wonderful vehicle.
