Great seeing the conversations in this community lately. As someone on the Lucid team, it’s been incredible watching owners share their experiences and welcome new drivers into the family.

Many of our newest owners are coming from Tesla and other luxury competitors, and the feedback around Lucid Air — from range and efficiency to an awesome interior — continues to reinforce what makes Lucid different. The same goes for Lucid Gravity, which brings that same Lucid DNA of performance, space, and efficiency into the luxury SUV category.

Friends considering making the switch currently have up to $7,000 in combined offers available, including conquest and trade-in allowance offers for drivers coming from brands like Tesla and other luxury brands, toward a new Lucid Air or Lucid Gravity.

Also… keep an eye out tomorrow. We have an exciting announcement coming that this community will appreciate. 👀 Thanks for being such an important part of the Lucid journey.

Curious to hear from everyone — what made you choose Lucid over Tesla?

Thanks @marqie , looking forward to the offer tomorrow. I had five teslas over 13 years. All of them suffered from build quality and ride quality issues. And of course Tesla went through door opening and software issues that were much much worse than what the people complaining on this forum have dealt with. I had multiple bricked cars, replaced four different door handles, had two high voltage battery replacements, four steering yolk replacements (in one model s!), and a partridge in a pear tree with Tesla.

But the biggest reason for my switch was ride quality and interior fit and finish. I haven’t had a car drive as well as my Air and Gravity drive. After a decade plus of not having a better option than Tesla, I finally do. They look amazing. I was totally sick of the Tesla look that never changed.

FWIW, Lucid Air doesn’t qualify for trade-in allowance.
My eyes are still set on GGT 😊

I never really considered Tesla--too utilitarian, and Musk. My last car really sold me on EVs, but I grew tired of its shortcomings (limited range, a little cramped). I'd always had my eye on the Air, but $140k was too rich for my blood. When I checked it out a year ago, it was way more affordable, so I took the plunge. I'm extremely happy with the car--it is flat out awesome!

The comment belongs in a different thread, where it would be appropriate for others to take space to offer help.

I don’t think @AnthonySF was asking for help, it was a comment in response to the question posed.
Problem is if you ask to compare Lucid to Tesla you’re going to get these type of responses. Especially if it’s a Lucid team member asking.

Made the switch because I was tired feeling like I was driving a soulless computer on wheels (and I had the Model 3 Performance). Build quality as well. And Elon.

7k in incentives - wow!

Tesla wasn't really in my sights when I was making a decision, not a fan of the interiors or the external styling. I knew I wanted a four door with power, ICE or otherwise. Lucid won the money-for-power game, great way to get a 600+hp daily in my garage. I was particularly impressed by the Aero efficiency and the in-house motor design. Truly an engineer's car - for better or worse ;)

Psyched for the announcement! I think I speak for everyone when I say we truly appreciate your continued participation here.

My experience with Tesla is like i am driving a toy car with a computer in it. I made the switch and its a right decision of driving a real car and its a Damn good car (but missing the computer part and its not a big deal with what i got currently).

Lucid implementation of EV is more like Hyundai where it feels like a car first, EV second. Tesla the opposite.

I didn't fit well in a Tesla (tall people problems). Lucid did a phenomenal job with interior packaging.

Speak truth, but there’s a time and a place. There are other threads for that, and that’s not the question that was asked.

I don’t show up at parties complaining about the host, or they are unlikely to invite me to the party again, because that would be, for lack of anything else, rude and impolite.

But you do you.

Model X and other Tesla models lacked the space, range, comfort, and overall functionality I was looking for. And I cannot support Elon these days.

I canceled a GGT order when it was ready for delivery in December over quality concerns and being a one-car household. But I'm still hoping to purchase a GGT once the quality problems are addressed. Amazing interior space, power, driving dynamics, range, and luxury feel all weigh heavily in my desire for a Gravity. As is being Musk free: I'm alive because my ancestors managed to leave Germany, and so repeatedly boosting fascist and anti-semitic ideas is a bit of a hot-button issue for me.
